I ended up having to go back to my 'origin', that remained a secret. It was where everyone like me was. Imaginary friends helping people learn their superpowers. There wasn't many of us, at most 30.
I caught up with Genevieve, my closest imaginary friend.
"I have to start training my human soon, she's already 14. I'm so excited!" she basically yelled.
"I'm glad for you! But don't be too excited. My girl is just behaving so cruddy. I pity her, She was such a sweet person before her power got stronger."
"Ohh that's unfortunate. That was the one who can read people's minds?"
"Yeah."
"How is it bad then? And wouldn't she know because she can read your mind?"
"It's bad because the words are scrambled. She has to learn to unscramble them, and that's my weakest ability to teach. She also cannot read my mind, solely because I'm not a human."
"But when people talk she can hear the words clearly?"
"Well yes."
"That might be it then! If she can hear real talk over thoughts, then you just have to teach her that!"
"She's an Introvert who is homeschooled with no friends...."
"Oh."
"So what do I do? She keeps getting migraines from all of the voices she hears in her head. It's as though she's possessed- or going through an infinite nightmare"
"I don't know.....you should talk to the queen."
Ah yes, the queen. She's a merciless imaginary angel who happens to be the imaginary friend of the presidents daughter. That's where the royalty comes. She holds the biggest grudge against people, and no one can break her walls. The only difference between her and us is that she had eternal life..
"Okay.....but it won't end well," I said, leaving Genevieve to be. Walking towards the master office.
Albeit the queen had other plans. No, I won't help you. Do you think I ever got help? No, I hadn't. So why should you? My human is not cooperating with me and getting sick. She can't handle it her parents think she's crazy and she is she has no friends bahbahaha. She mimicked me. I felt bad right away and excused myself for being so unorganized, which was a lie.
I started going back to Genevieve, I wondered what made the queen so mad. She usually wasn't like that. Oh well.
"You know how you said she heard talk over thoughts, but had no friends?" Genevieve asked.
"Yes...?" I answered
"Well....why don't you just have her meet new people?"
"I told you she's an introvert"
"I mean, like show her the world and its glory. Find someone to keep her company all the time!"
"Uhhh where is this going?"
"You know how she spoke of running away?"
"I don't like where this is going Genevieve"
"That's it! Have her go to New York or someplace!"
I was so speechless. What overcame her? I can't bring the girl into a new city...not only would her parents freak but she wouldn't know how to get on her own.
"So how does this work? I'm not going to bring her to a random city, " I ask her.
"You and I will meet up in an area. I don't know where. But she's in Southport Right? And I'm in NYC. So, we meet halfway there at like I don't know, and then you guys stay at my owners place!"
"What about your girl parents?"
"Shes living with her grandma. If I told the grandma that your girl is an orphan from school, it might work!" Genevieve said with bright eyes.
"Uhhhhhhhh"
"Just consider it ok?"
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh," I said starting to turn away. Genevive just smiled abruptly and I gave her a shy smile. I'll bring up the idea to her, but I'm sure she's going to disagree because the plan is just too crazy. There's no way it's gonna work this way.
