Chapter Four

This chapter may seem confusing at first, but it will all make sense later on. Also this one is so much better than my others! YAY!

-------------------------------------------

I watched myself being pulled backwards into that alley, and saw the looks of horror on my friends faces. I watched my head loll backwards. Then scenes began to flash in front of my eyes, like lightning. One moment I saw Ally comforting the two little boys whose mother had just died, and the next, Kaylee, running at my capturer with an outstretched wand. The woman who had killed the boy's mother was there too, laughing at the helpless look on Kaylee's face as the man disappeared, taking me with him. Then the cruel woman disappeared too, her laugh still echoing in the streets.

Chaos erupted as bystanders ran into shops, screaming and snatching up their children. A camera flashed. Smoke billowed from somewhere I could not see, turning the sunny day gray and gloomy. When the smoke cleared out I saw that the streets were empty other than three girls, standing in a circle, backs facing each other. Their wands were drawn. Panicked looks crossed their faces as they realized I was gone. Disappeared without a trace.

Then I saw that terrible green light, erupting from the woman's wand. And the mother being thrown backwards. Over and over and over I watched the terrible scene, until the screams and cold laughter clouded out my senses and I woke, drenched in cold sweat.

The screams echoed in my head, slowly fading away. But the laughs were still there, getting louder and crueler every second. I sat up. And there she was, the woman who had killed, standing over me, cackling.

"What do you want?" I asked unsteadily, looking around at the stone-walled cell I seemed to be imprisoned in.

"Oh, you don't know, do you? Well I don't believe it! Think you can play all innocent, do you? Nobody can fool Vidia like that!" Vidia reached out and stroked my cheek with her long, purple fingernails. Then she grabbed my face and squeezed it. "How do you do it? How?"

"I-I-I don't know what your talking about." I responded honestly.

Vidia's eyes narrowed. "Bring the veritaserum." She ordered. A smaller man scurried out of the cell, returning moments later with a small vial of potion. He tilted my head back and forced my mouth open. I struggled, trying to escape his grasp, but instead discovered I was bound by thick ropes that had not been there a minute ago.

The potion was poured into my mouth, and although I attempted to spit it out, most of it still found its way down my throat.

"Now," Vidia said, turning on me, "How do you do it? How do you change?"

I found myself suddenly speaking words that weren't really my own. "I just sort of wish it. And it happens." I said earnestly.

Vidia screamed in frustration, storming out of the room. The small man followed, locking the door behind him and leaving me in utter darkness.

Sorry so short, and I'm really trying to be more detailed, but I'm not that good at it. Comment your opinions please, and I'm always looking for advice.
