Eric McSmith was a billionaire CEO who died a few months ago from a heart attack. His company was popular all over the world, and it was worth several billion dollars.
According to the internet, he was happily married with two kids. With Kelvin McSmith being the eldest and Angelica McSmith being a year younger than him.
"Can you borrow me your phone?" Alisha who was still processing the fact about who Kelvin was asked.
"Yeah. Sure" Kelvin said and handed it to her.
"Do you mind excusing me?"
He shrugged before replying "I don't mind" and walked out of the room.
Alisha dialled her mother's number when she was sure that he was gone, but there was no answer, so she tried again.
"Hello. Hello. Who is on the line?" Her mother said the moment she picked up the phone. Tears rolled down from Alisha's eyes, and she slowly wiped it away with the back of her hand.
"Hello" her mother called again: "Who is there?"
"It's me, mom" she replied and bursted into tears.
"Alisha!?" Her mother called unbelievably: "Alisha, is that you?"
"Yea, mom"
"Alisha!" Her mother screamed into the phone "Is that truly you?'
Alisha sighed heavily before replying "Mom, it's me. I'm sorry."
"Where are you now? Are you okay?"
"I'm okay."
"Should I come and get you?"
"No. Don't worry, I will be home tomorrow."
Her mother sobbed quietly in the background for almost a minute.
"Mom, we will talk tomorrow." Alisha said slowly.
"Why can't you come home today. I can come and pick you up myself. Where are you exactly?"
"I'm fine, Mom. I'm really fine. I will explain everything to you when we see each other. I'm sorry"
"It's okay. You're really going to be home tomorrow, right?"
"Yes, I promise."
Her mother heaved a sigh. "All right. Bye. I love you. And make sure to take care of yourself"
"I love you too. Bye."
She hung up the phone and slowly got out of the bed. She was trying to use this opportunity to look around the house.
She slowly stepped out of the room and took the right way, taking in how beautiful the house was. It was neatly furnished with modern things, and Alisha had no idea when she mouthed 'wow'
"You love it, don't you?" Someone asked cockily behind Alisha's back and she quickly turned around. It was Kelvin and he was standing with his back to the wall and his hands folded.
"Oh my God! You scared me." she said while hitting her chest in order to calm herself down.
"Didn't mean to" Kelvin said "So, how are you feeling now?"
"Better." Alisha replied and started walking towards him "Thank you so much and here is your phone" she added as she stretched out her hand.
"Okay."
Kelvin collected his phone.
"It seems as if you're interested in touring my house. I don't mind showing you around."
"Okay. Thank you."

Next day
Alisha sighed heavily when her mother's house came into view. Fortunately, for her, Kelvin had volunteered to give her a ride which she hadn't been expecting.
"Everything is going to be okay?" Kelvin reassured.
"Thank you."
Kelvin smirked. "You're welcome."
Few seconds later, Kelvin's car was packed in front of Alisha's house, but Alisha found it hard to get down from it.
"I can follow you in... if you don't mind." he had suggested.
"No. Don't worry. I will go in by myself. Thank you so much for all the troubles"
"It's nothing. Just don't try to commit suicide the next time someone breaks up with you."
Tears threatened to roll down from her eyes, but she held it in. She was trying to be strong in front of her savior because if not for Kelvin McSmith in her life, she would have been found dead inside that water.
"I understand. Thank you" She said, opened the door and stepped out, but before she closed the door, she turned around and waved at Kelvin who also waved back "Bye."
Kelvin zoomed off the moment the door was closed, and Alisha headed inside her mother's house.
"Alisha!" Her mother screamed when she saw her. She immediately hugged her tightly and started crying "My dear daughter."
They were like that for almost five minutes before Alisha slowly released herself from the hug.
"My world stopped when I heard what you have done" her mother said when they were both seated.
"I'm sorry, mom. I wasn't thinking straight at the time. I was mad at the world... at myself." A drop of tears fell off her right eye, and she quickly wiped it away.
"I'm grateful that you're still living. What happened? Did you later change your mind or what?"
"No, I didn't change my mind."
"So, what happened?"
"Someone saved me."
Her mother unconsciously opened her mouth in surprise.
"So, you're trying to say that someone saved you?"
Alisha nodded. "He saved me and took me to his house and took care of me. If not for him, I wouldn't be alive today."
"Who is he? Where does he live? I need to see him and thank him personally"
"You don't have to, mom. He isn't someone that we can see anyhow."
Her mother's eyebrows knitted together in curiosity when she heard this, and she leaned forward in her seat.
"Who could it be?"
"Someone who you wouldn't believe even if I told you who he was " Alisha replied and got out of her seat.
