The day had finally come. The day that the dreaded school year ended. The pressure from tests, whether or not you are going to summer school and just school itself. It was all gone! I could finally travel and do the things that I want without having to worry about being held back from 7th grade. Summer break started as soon as the bell rang at 12pm today. We always had an early release on the last days of school so today shouldn't be too long.
It appeared to be raining pretty bad outside so I had to walk in the rain to get to my bus stop but that doesn't bother me. I like the rain unlike some people. While I walked I saw a strange figure straight ahead. It looked like a truck but they aren't allowed on this small street. Maybe it was some of those new solar powered city buses or someone who can't read signs. As I got closer to my bus stop I was able to make out what it was. It was a furniture moving truck. This early in the morning? It wasn't moving so I assumed that they were moving in in front of the bus stop because that's where the parked. Someone was inside but they weren't moving.
Someone walked out of the truck as the bus drove towards us. They looked like a boy that was in the same grade as me. "Are you new?" I asked. "What? I can't hear you because of this rain," He said loudly. "I asked are you new."
"Yes I'm just moving in as you can see."
