On hold although I don't think anyone cares about this book.

Sorry to those who actually, you know, read this. I'm just not into Percy Jackosn anymore, or not as into it as I am with some other fandoms.

When I started this book, I was really just writing for me, but then my friend told me to publish it, so I did, and I was really into Percy and those peeps then, but now Percy Jackson is a good book to read just for like a day at the beach or whatever.

And believe me, I never expected to say that.

So, enjoy this chapter and hopefully there will be another up by the time House of Hades is released.

"Hurry!" Leo yelled as we were going up the stairs.

"I'm sorry, but it wasn't Piper's fault she was hit in the head with a brick." I said. We had been under attack for almost an hour. Everyone was moving up to the deck when a brick hit Piper in the head.

Everyone was out to get Piper. We settled that earlier before the water came rushing in.

It still disturbed me that there was a manticore who was out to kill my girlfriend who looks like me. It was really hard fighting them.

"Leo! What do we do?" Annabeth yelled. She was on the other side of the deck, holding onto Percy's hand.

"We left all of our weapons inside!" Percy said, "I was even stupid enough to leave Riptide on my bedside table."

Piper started to shift in my arms. I put her down on a bench.

"Jason once defended himself with a piece of wood," Leo said. Evenyone turned to me.

"It was the only thing available, and I doubt I could do it again," I said. I didn't even remember how I fought with a piece of wood.

"There's some scrap metal around the corner," Annabeth said, "Hazel and I have been stacking it just for this type of situation."

Leo stopped. "Wait," he said, "Where's Hazel?"

Annabeth and Percy exchanged glances. I looked at Leo who looked miffed.

"Go get some scraps of metal and we'll enter the ship to find her," Leo said, "I'll stay guard so the monsters don't come on board."

And with that we went in different directions.

"Okay, that's enough for you two, Hazel, Piper, Leo, and me," Annabeth said, counting out the metal pieces. We had chosen the sharped ones, and then tied some of the flatter pieces to make shields. We only had enough for four, so Hazel and Leo each get one, Percy and Annabeth shared one, and Piper and I shared one.

Piper.

I had forgotten she was on the bench.

"We should get back to Leo and Piper," I said, "They're probably wondering where we are."

Percy and I carried back the metal weapons, and Annabeth carried the shields.

Piper was sitting up on the bench when we got there with her hand on her head like she was protecting it from someone.

I set the weapons down on the ground next to the bench and sat down with Piper.

“Hey,” I said. I didn’t know what else to say

She looked at me with her hand still on her head. She had her stern-but-cute look. It was awhile before she said anything. “What happened?” she asked.

“We’re under attack. Hazel’s still on the inside, and we’re going to get her.” I had just noticed Leo was gone. “I think Leo already went in. You stay here and keep guard here. We’ll leave you a weapon and get rid of any nasties that try to attack you.”

I got up. Piper tried to follow her, but I held her down. “Piper, you have to stay here. I know you want to help, but you can’t. We’ll get you when we’re done. I promise.”

I picked up the metal scrap pile and handed a large one to Piper. "If you need anything, bang that on the wall. Someone will come as soon as possible."

Piper nodded. Percy, Annabeth, and I went into the ship.

Everything was dark and torn up. There was no sign of life anywhere. There was little light coming from the metal, but not much. We had to feel our way around.

Our first mistake was when Percy fell down the stairs.

Actually, the stairs hadn't been there before. It was a completely new set of stairs.

"Hold on, Perce," Annabeth said, "I'm going to get a flashlight. Jason'll stay here and guard. I'll be right back."

She went into the darkness and down the real staircase.

Percy kept trying to climb up the stairs, but they kept turning into different forms, and when he stopped, they turned back to stairs.

A few minutes had passed by. Suddenly I heard a scream. I looked around and Percy tried to jump out of the hole.

There was another one a few minutes later. I recognized that one.

It was Piper's.

"Stay there," I told Percy. "I'll be right back."

"Piper? Piper! Piper!" I screamed. There was a pitch black cloud over the ship and all of St. Louis. I couldn't see anything.

"Jason!" Piper screamed. "There were winged creatures and then everything went black! Help!"

"Where are you?" I screamed.

"On the bench where you left me!" Piper screamed.

A light turned on behind me. I saw Piper sitting on the bench, white with fear. When I turned around I saw Annabeth standing there with Percy and Leo. She was holding a flashlight.

"Hazel's missing," she said.
