When Harry couldn't go to Hogsmeade, you stayed with him (against his many protests), and you both had a great time, but that night, after Sirius Black's attack, you were terrified that something would happen to him.

You lay awake staring at the night sky, thinking about things. Everyone was sleeping on the floor of the Great Hall, for safety precautions after the attack. In between Hermione and Harry, you had a F/C sleeping bag and your clothes for tomorrow lay at the foot of your bed. You turned to Harry, who was asleep facing you, his hand lying on the floor in front of you. Seeing the frown he wore as he slept, you put your hand on his, hoping it would help to stop his nightmares. Little did you know, he was awake, and started blushing, grateful for the darkness of the Hall.

Standing nearby, Dumbledore watched this interaction with a smile on his face, only one thing on his mind: James and Lily.

A week later, you were talking animately to Hermione about house-elves before Defense Against the Dark Arts, when Snape walked into the classroom, as dramatic as usual, announcing himself as the substitute for Professor Lupin in his monotonous voice, and shutting all the blinds as he went.

"Quiet. Now, which one of you can tell me the difference between an animagus and a werewolf?" Without turning around to see Hermione's hand up, he added "No one? How disappointing."

But Hermione just couldn't help herself. "Please, sir. An animagus is a wizard who elects to turn into an animal. A werewolf has no choice. With each full moon when he transforms he no longer remembers who he is. He'd kill his best friend if he crossed his path. Furthermore, the werewolf only responds to the call of his own kind." To that, Draco howled and laughed with his friends.

"Thank you, Mr Malfoy. That is the second time you've spoken out of turn Miss Granger. Are you incapable of restraining yourself or do you take pride in being an insufferable Know-It-All? Five points from Gryffindor."

Hermione turned red and sunk further into her seat. You couldn't stand the way Snape always embarrassed everyone who wasn't in Slytherin, especially Gryffindors.

You're the one who asked! Don't ask a question if you don't want an answer!" Everyone turned to look at Ron, astonished that he'd have the courage to stand up to Snape.

"Ten points from Gryffindor for that arrogant comment. Moving on..."

While he droned on about an essay that was due soon, Draco took the chance to send a flying paper swan Harry's way. On it, was a moving drawing of Harry being struck by lightning at the Quidditch game. Then, he sent another swan to you. You peered down at it and saw writing on it.

Sorry for being mean to your friend Harry, but I think you should find a new group of friends. Maybe me, Crabbe and Goyle?

-Draco

You looked at him, then wrote back.

Really? You're still on that? I'm staying friends with them I'm afraid, and you better be careful what you say and do to them, because who knows what can happen by accident if you hurt one of my friends?

-Y/n :)

He looked at it before chuckling under his breath and talking to Crabbe again.

And he calls me arrogant! I mean really!" Ron was still ranting about it, while Hermione just looked down at her books in shame. You could tell she was still uncomfortable with the subject.

"There's the quidditch match tonight." Harry interrupted, attempting to change the subject.

It worked because Ron didn't talk about anything but the match from then on.

Sorry I haven't posted lately! Something came up and I needed some time, but it's all fine now! Hope you enjoy!
