Forgotten Love

A Question

Marinette and Adrien were having the perfect lives. They were a couple since high school, a feat possible due to their best friends - Alya Cesaire and Nino Lahiffe. When the long awaited identity reveal happened, they were overjoyed. Pretty soon everyone knew that ladybug and chat noir were dating. The two of Paris's most cute couples were found and it was hard to decide which was the best, the superhero duo or the fashion duo. 

Adrien took over the Agreste brand just a few months ago and business was blooming thanks to his adorable girlfriend. She became the new head designer and pretty soon was winning multiple awards for her amazing designs. For a fact, Marinette also became Adrien's partner in the company, both of them taking over half of the load so that neither of the two are too exhausted. Adrien was still a model, doing the job happily now that he got to model for his girlfriend.

The couple was currently walking through the park, disguised. After the fame it became hard for them to go anywhere, mostly for Marinette. Adrien had been dealing with this since childhood. Marinette, being quick witted and a secret heroine, easily found a way out. They disguised like what their children might look like. Marinette wore a blonde wig over her blue hair and green contact lenses, the colour same as Adrien's emerald eyes while Adrien wore a blue wig and blue contact lenses. 

Adrien finally got the courage to ask Marinette a question he wanted to since many days."Ummm, M'lady....." Adrien called out to his girlfriend beside him. She turned to him and said, "Yes minou, wanna ask something?" Sweat rolled down his face, as he said, "Ummmm.... Let's go eat some ice cream. Andre is right over there," he said pointing to the famous ice cream man. The bluenette nodded while jumping from excitement. Many things had changed over the years, but not Marinette's love for ice cream. She went to sit on a bench while Adrien went to the shop, buying two ice creams. Little did Marinette know, there was a surprise waiting for her.

Adrien returned in some time, carrying a ice cream. Marinette took it and began to it, all her attention on what she was eating. When she was done, she wiped her hands and stood up, only to see Adrien kneeling on the ground. "Adrien!? What are you..." Her eyes widened with realisation. Adrien began, "Marinette, you have given me all the joy in the world. It took me some time to realise my feeling for you, but I know that you are the only one I'll ever truly love. I fell in love with you once, then twice while not even realising. It sounds silly but it proves that you are the one for me. So Marinette, M'lady, Bugaboo, will you make me the happiest cat in the world and marry me?" He pulled out the twin Graham de Vanily rings while saying this, awaiting her answer.
