I Will Always Love You

I was fighting the different villains when a new one managed to land a kick in my stomach. My mouth opened in shock and pain. I looked at the specific villain and gave him a glare. To my utter satisfaction, he flinched pretty good. I smirked, this cat will always be the same. Then I tasted something horrible. It tasted like..... blood, I recoiled at the taste. I knew this as once I had had the taste of this liquid. I looked over to see M'lady looking at me. She had seen it. Her eyes looked hurt, but then a fire of determination lit them up. To say the least, I was scared. She looked like she was going to turn into a wild fire. That would not be the best thing to happen.

I continued fighting, though a small part of my brain knew that I was not doing that well physically. I was going to lose, too many injuries had gotten it's toll on me. I still refused to give up, to give them the satisfaction that they were going to win. I looked to the dome which housed all of the people, the citizens of Paris. I looked at my girlfriend, my future wife. She was so adorable, and she was worth dying for. I will not go down without a fight. I owed it to all of them, for the love that they gave to me. I will not stop fighting. As I was going to cataclysm another akumatised object, something unexpected happened. I felt a massive power surge. The akumas were all purified and the villains detransformed back as the citizens that I love.

I had to activate all the miraculouses. I had to use all of them if I wanted Adrien to survive. I knew what would happen if I did it. It was horrible but I was Ladybug. I will find a way through it. Always, I will win the war though it seems like I lost. We were soulmates and we will end up together at the end. The grimmoire is not just about spells. It tells stories about the times when all were young. One such story was that earlier dinosaurs were the dominant beings. Plagg had "too much cheese" as he says and destroyed them. To keep balance, Tikki had to create humans though her humans were slightly different from us now. Those humans were a mixture of a male and female. They were so powerful that the 6 original kwamis decided that Plagg should split them into half. Or else it would lead to a huge catastrophe in the future. Fluff herself had seen this. The humans were always looking for their other half. Even after they were reborn, they felt the emptiness and looked for their other half. My other half is, you guessed it, Adrien. We will end up together because without me he wouldn't find his way through a plastic bag. He is hopeless like that.

I activated all of the miraculouses with a mental command. I felt the increase in power as each of them gave me their full potential. I then got to work. I combined the bug, tiger, turtle and snake miraculous. I used Wayzz's power to shield all of the citizens and Chaton. I then activated the snake miraculous so that if anything went wrong, I could correct it. I was still the same old worry wart. Not much changed in the past years. I chuckled a little and then combined the tiger and bug miraculouses power with a special guardian power I had found out not so long ago. I used the bug miraculous so that I could pour in positive energy, it was how my deevilisation power worked. A part of my positive energy was poured into the akuma so that the negative energy in it was neutralised. I used the tiger miraculous for brute force and to augment the positive energy. Then came in the hard part. I contacted Plagg.

Ok! Well the thing is, I need access to your power of destruction.

I am going to create a new trick that I formed in a theory. It is not the best time to test all of this but I am in a desperate situation.
And how do you plan to work with this theory?
Simple, I combine Tikki, Roar and your power to create a massive surge of energy that neutralises all of the akumas.

This was a whisper, almost too quiet to hear.

Of course I do. You leaving would make kid sad. And me too.
He does care afterall. Just puts on an act like Chloe did all those years ago.

Ok then. I, Plagg, the kwami of destruction grant Marinette Dupain Cheng complete access to my powers which she will use for the greater good.
One last thing Plagg. Promise to take care of Adrien.
Wait! What do you mean?

I broke the connection. It broke my heart not to tell him but I had to. I was back at keeping secrets again. I didn't tell him that even though I am the best miraculous holder ever, I am still a mortal girl. This much amount of energy should not be used and therefore to keep the balance, a sacrifice is taken. After months of research I had found out that for me, the price would be my memories. It will be like what happens to guardians when they relinquish the miracle box though if it goes as I plan, I will be able to regain the memories. This is all just a theory but I had to have trust on myself. Another buried secret was there. One which might take sometime to come out. It better did.

I let out the surge, a massive amount of energy flowing towards each of the people deakumatising them. Slowly and gradually all of them were back to sweet confused citizens of the city of love. They looked around and saw the battlefield with a haunted look in their eyes. Shadowmoth had not so long ago found out how to let a victim keep his or her memories. To keep Paris the same lively city, I searched the grimmoire till I found the spell which helped erase everyone's memories. They only remembered that there had been an akuma which me and Chat had defeated. I summoned a lucky charm and threw it in the air. I watched as everything went back to normal and all of the citizens were carried back to their houses. I then muttered the spell after which I felt my knees buckle.

I went over to Ladybug who was watching the miraculous ladybug fix everything. I felt all of my injuries heal themselves and my energy returning to me. I went beside her when suddenly she collapsed. I caught her and saw that she was struggling to be conscious. I didn't understand what was happening till I heard her beautiful voice barely a whisper, "I will always love you."

What is happening to Ladybug? What secrets is she hiding? Is her theory correct or will the price she pays be her life? If she actually loses her memories, will she gain them back and come back to Adrien or will she be lost forever? Find out in the next part.
