Oxenfree: Future

Chapter 1

Waking abruptly , Alex pulled her hands apart and felt the steel edge of the cuffs digging painfully into her wrists, the guards unlocked the cell in the ranger station and guided Alex towards the docks. She had been caught for trespassing into a radio transmission station on Edwards island; she was spotted by the coast guard when she was in the tower that overlooked the entire island.

Alex looked toward the boat, it was unusual because she saw the patches on the men's uniforms, US Navy. This shocked Alex, why were the navy getting involved with a trespasser when she was sure that station had been shut down for years since the incident that happened here when she was seventeen years old with the ghosts.

She was now twenty years old, her hair had grew longer dropping to the middle of her back dyed the beautiful teal colour she always had, She had grown an inch or two and she also had a scar running from her neck down towards her chest from a fight which ended her up in ICU for three months because some jackass decided to cut her open and she was eighteen at that time and she knew how worried everyone would be, She found that out because when she woke up, her parents looked relieved that she had finally awoken from that coma due to that attack.

She had been arrested twice before, The first was when Ren and Jonas dared her to shoplift from a convenience store but when she tried to walk out the door with the stuff hidden in her jacket, she bumped into two officers which made the candy drop onto the floor and she was immediately cuffed and chucked into the back of a cop car, she was in county jail for a week until her brother Michael , paid her bail, she remembered that for weeks Michael wouldn't even speak to her as he was just disappointed in her for agreeing to do that dare.

The second time she got arrested was that she got into an altercation with this guy who was sexually harassing her trying to see if she would sleep with him. Alex turned around and punched him hard in the face, the fight went on a bit until two cop cars pulled up Guns drawn which landed Alex in county jail again sentenced with Battery for six and a half months until she turned twenty, she had been free for a month, already arrested again for trespassing on Naval property which she knew might give her another six months of her life in a penitentiary.

She was placed onto the ship, she saw Riley, her older sister who had joined the Navy, Alex murmured under her breath "Shit, why does she have to be on this ship". Riley approaches Alex and crouches down and sighs "C'mon Alex, you've been in Jail two times in the last year!" and Alex retorts "I thought you were with the pacific carrier fleet! You lied to me then!". Riley just shakes her head and just walks off but looks over her shoulder "we could shorten the sentence if you would help us with something you know a lot about, The sunken if i recall". Alex sighs and looks up at Riley "My journal is in my backpack, that has all the information you need on them and if they are messing with radio transmissions for the whole pacific fucking fleet then they probably reach to that transmitter in Arlington!"

The Sunken's effect on the entire state had gotten increasingly worse as it was impossible for any transmissions to escape from the confines of Oregon without being erased by these interdimensional beings. The state government hadn't been in contact with the rest of the US for over a year and a half.

They had also been appearing more often trying to take over people's souls so they could escape the dimension they have been living in for over 75 years ago when they were transported into this place when the Kanaloa imploded. In one of the experiments Alex did was to try and bring back Anna which was a resounding success. She still looked like how she did after being dragged into that horrible place so a 70 year old in a 22 year old's body. She helped Alex with figuring out how they could bring back the other sunken naval officers so they haven't figured out how to bring them back into their original dimension.
