"this young lady has been so disrespectful to me and her teacher. she deserves to be excluded miss," started miss whatever-the-hell-her-name-was. ruby couldn't care less, because she was so #cool and #quirky and #badass. she rolled her eyes and folded her arms. in the corner of her eye, she saw another girl doing precisely the same thing.
of course ruby had heard of this girl. in fact, ruby doubted that anyone in the school didn't know who adeca was. that girl was known for trouble. adeca's trouble-making was kind of hot though- not going to lie. but adeca herself was something else. she was a small and scrawny child, she also had a wonky slitted eyebrow, she had no makeup whatsoever, and on her head lay that horribly magnificent bun, always poised in the exact same spot. did she measure her head every morning to get it in the right spot, no one would ever know. except adeca herself.
ruby turned her attention back to the teachers, who were now staring at her. "what," said ruby.
"don't use that tone with me, missy. you're going to have a two hour detention after school on wednesday. if you don't turn up, i'll be adding another two hours. i never sleep or leave this school so i'm not bothered."
"okay?" replied ruby with as much sass as she could muster because she needed to look cool in front of The Adeca that she so adored.
adeca shot ruby the dirtiest look. ruby scrunched up her nose, still trying to look cute for adeca. she really wanted to cry, but she also didnt want to seem weak in front of The Adeca that she so looked up to. but adeca didnt seem to be falling for ruby's tricks and that was a very big problem. oh no.
