Packing

It was the week after finishing high school and I was in my room finishing packing everything that I was bringing with me to LA. We would be leaving tomorrow and Sam, Colby, and I were driving all the way there and officially starting our career as being YouTubers full time. When we were all in 9th grade we said that we would make it big and make people laugh. Both of our parents said that if we made $30,000 then we could move to LA. So now tomorrow we are doing just that. 

As I was taping the last box up Sam came into my room and asked, "Are you done? Colby, Nate, you, and me are supposed head to the old wear house one last time before we leave tomorrow."

I look up and say, "Yep I just finished the last box, I'll be down in just a second."

"Ok, we'll be outside." He tells me as he leaves.

"Ok" I say as I get up. I look around my room once more and can't believe that this is my last day in here since we'll be leaving tomorrow. I go to my shoes to put them on then head downstairs and outside to where the others are waiting. 

"Ready?" Colby asks us. We all nod and we all head in the direction we need to go to get there.

As we get to where we need to be before we have to run, we look around to make sure no one's watching and bolt to the woods. After running for about five minutes we get to where we can just walk. We then start walking for about ten minutes we start to see the wear-house. We all walk in there and then head to the roof. I'm sitting between Sam and Colby as we start talking. 

"So how are you guys feeling about being able to go to LA?" Nate asked us.

"I mean we're excited obviously because we have been dreaming of this for years." Sam answered.

"Yeah, I mean we made a YouTube channel and worked our butts of just to do this and go to LA." Colby said.

"I think everything will be fine as long as we're together." I then said

We sit there talking for hours until it starts getting dark and then we all stand up to leave. We start walking through the woods then stop to make sure no one's looking and bolt to the other side of the field. We begin to head back to Sam and I's and by the time that we get there it's almost dark. We say our goodbyes for the night then go inside. 

As Sam and I get inside mom notice's and says, "Go get cleaned up you two then come to the table to eat." 

Sam and I both go to a bathroom to wash our hands then a few minutes later we are seated at the dinner table. As we're eating we are all talking about something and mom and dad both ask us if we are ready for tomorrow. We both say that we are and that we can't wait to do more videos. After dinner we go to bed and as I lay in bed I think to myself how this will be the last time I sleep in this room for awhile. 

In the morning I am awoken early in the morning by my alarm so I can put my stuff in the car. We decided to take two cars and we will each trade off every few hours so someone can get a break. Since I don't have my own car we will be taking Sam and Colby's cars. We said that we would leave by about 10 in the morning and right now it is about 7:30 so I go to make sure that Sam is awake. When I knock on Sam's door I get my answer as he says to come in. As I walk in I notice that he is wide awake and that all of his boxes are tapped shut. 

I ask him, "Have you talked to Colby yet to see if he is awake?"

"Yeah he just got up. He said that he's going to head over here at about 9 so we can leave at about 10." He replied. 

I nod at that then go back to my room to double check everything. Since both cars are small we can only take a couple boxes each, a suitcase, and then obviously a backpack for exploring. The rest of what we need we will get in LA when we can. After I've double checked everything, I go downstairs to get something to eat and see Sam already munching on a bowl of cereal. I go to do the same and sit down across from him on the table. 

As I sit down Sam tells me, " I can't believe we are actually doing this!"

I look over to him and say back, "I know, I can't believe we get to actually make our dream a reality!" 

Not to long later Colby walks in. We talk for a few minutes and then we head upstairs to grab what's left of our stuff to load them into the cars. We grab the last two boxes that couldn't fit in Sam's car then head downstairs to put them into Colby's 

As we put those in Colby asks, "So is that the rest of it?" 

"Yep" I respond.

We head back in to see Sam done and just sitting on the couch. He sees us walk in and then we all head upstairs to our little filming room to make sure we have everything. 

As we do that Colby starts to talk, "I can't believe that we're actually going to LA." He says.

We look at him and Sam says, "I know right, it feels like we just started doing vines and now we're moving to LA!"

"It doesn't seem real." I say.

We finish up and see that we have what we want then go downstairs to say goodbye to our parents and siblings before we leave. We say goodbye to everyone then go to the cars to leave. My last thought as I leave is 'I can't believe we were able to do this.'
