A pale brown paw barged out of the un-manicured dirt surrounding it. It started to dig around itself to reveal a medium sized pale brown tom. He leaped out of the hole that had claw marks surrounding it, showing that he was buried here. His right limb started throbbing uncontrollably, he tried to look at it but it was way up by his shoulder. Surrounding him, were big gray spikes coming out of the ground, were they fallen gray trees? He needed to get out of here, there may be demons around and he had no weapon to defend himself with. The tom decided to go out and look for the nearest twoleg place.

Luckily, there was one up the thunderpath where monsters fed. The twoleg place was deserted, everything was neat but it looked untouched for a while now. Glancing around, he found two dead moles that looked like crowfood, he decided to eat the remains. After all, he has been dead for 4 months. Then the lightning screen started to make static noises, and the glass on the walls started shattering. The tom broke for cover under the table. There was a ringing that felt like a monster was very angry. He tried to flatten his ears to get out the noise, but it still hurt.

It stopped. The pale brown tom got out from his position under cover and looked around. It looked like the place moved completely. Luckily, it didn't. His arm was still throbbing; he padded over to where there was the seeing glass where he could look at what was wrong with his arm. There was what looked like another cat's paw print that took out all the fur beneath it, and it looked like it would never grow back. What he really needed to focus on now was why and how was he alive?

He began walking. He didn't stop until he found his friend, Bobby's den. His den was filled with herbs and salt to protect him from the demons. But he probably thought he was dead too... When he reached Bobby's den. He meowed in a calm tone to make sure Bobby wasn't alarmed. A gray ginger longhaired tom came from the other side of his den, alarmed. Bobby quickly spit salt at the tom waiting at the entrance. "Hey, hey its just me!" The pale brown tom meowed in an annoyed tone.

"Dean is dead, you demon!" Bobby hissed.

Dean, the pale brown tom, sighed and cut himself to show that he was no demon. Bobby was amazed. "Dean?" Bobby meowed in a very gentle voice.

Dean and Bobby had a short 'welcome back' moment, then got down to business.

"Where's Sam?"

"He hasn't talked to me since you 'died'."

Dean sighed once again, and wished that they had closer contact with each other.

"Well, lets go find him, I know where he is since I caught a fresh scent that smelled like his nearby." Bobby meowed.

So they went off.

They arrived at a twoleg place where many of them stayed and put their monsters on the thunderpath nearby. They saw Sam behind the entrance to the twoleg place, so they hopped on the fence and went back. They went back to find Sam talking to some strange female cat Dean or Bobby had seen in their lives. Sam noticed the two toms and froze. The she-cat froze and stared as well. Sam looked like a long-haired medium brown tabby, but his stripes were hardly visible. A flick of his tail gestured to the she-cat that she should leave. She nodded and went off, brushing her tail against Sam's muzzle. Sam stared at Dean once again, still confused on how he was alive. But Sam didn't know if he was a demon or something else, so he decided to leap at the pale tom, sending him down off the fence into the uncut grass. Bobby leaped down to hold back Sam from injuring Dean in any way."No Sam, stop!" Bobby slightly hissed.

"It's actually him."

Sam needed to take a moment. His thought to be dead brother was alive and right in front of him. But what was the mark on his shoulder?
