Kakyoin lived in a small town that was surrounded with thick trees and growth. He didn't mind of course since there's a path that led into the next town, where it's more abundant than his own. Between these two towns, they all know that you're not suppose to walk the path after dark. Legends says that there's a beast stalking around at that time, looking for prey.
.....
"Alright, see you later!" Exclaimed Kakyoin to his best friend, Iggy (he's a human in this story lol).
"Woah, you're leaving at this hour? It's dangerous to go back to your town at this time. You know what they say, Kakyoin."
"Hmm.. yeah but I really need to head home and I got to do my dumb assignments, " shrugged Kakyoin. "Besides, it's not like anyone has seen this so called 'beast'. If they have, then the two towns would've been notified right away."
"Hm.. fine. You win, Kakyoin. But your ass better get home fast, I don't want my best friend to get taken away."
"Alright, fine. See you tomorrow!"
Kakyoin left Iggy's house. The only thing that was lighting the way were the inconsistent flashes of luminescent light from the fireflies and the old, dim street lamps. When he finally made it to the path, where there was no sign of light. He can barely see the ground and the slight wooshes from the branches and leaves spooked Kakyoin. He bravely walked through the path, his mind nagging him of wanting to be home already and laying down in his bed.
Kakyoin was more caught up in his mind than the path ahead of him. There was oddly alot of twigs and leaves matted on the ground under his feet. Kakyoin shifted and changed directions, thinking it was the way home.
.......Was he even going in the right direction?
"Hmm.. why does this path feel longer all of a sudden..?" He kept walking, thinking that it's just his imagination. Right when he laid another step into the trail, he slips, losing balance of his whole body. There was no trail where he stepped on. Instead, there was a steep hill that went downwards. He tried grabbing onto anything that was attached the ground, like small sprouts of trees but nothing would budge. He finally hit the bottom, slamming all the weight and momentum onto his ankle. His head slammed against a medium size boulder, making him to lose sight and conscious. Everything was blurry before blacking out and heard strange rumbling noises, then nothing but darkness.
......
Light leaked through the thin curtains in the small room. The smell of the forest and pine was in the air, but the clean type. It's early morning and Kakyoin slowly began to wake up, and so did the pain and aches in his body.
"What...?" whispered Kakyoin to himself. His eye sight was still a bit fuzzy but clear enough to make out the small room. There was a small bookshelf and a window facing the outside. A rug made of yarn and wooden floors and walls held the room. Warm but thin blankets was wrapped around Kakyoin. He never felt anything so soft before. There was a small picture frame by the door but, he couldn't make it who or what it was. He shifted his body for a more comfortable position but pain shot up against his ankle, forcing him back down against the bed. He looks over to see his ankle wrapped against a straight stick with a white cloth. It keeps the ankle straight and from moving as well.
The door opens, spooking Kakyoin and making him hide under the covers.
"You're awake," spoke a deep, husky voice. The floors creaked slightly due to the sudden weight pressure among them.
Kakyoin peered over to see a tall, strong male with midnight black hair. He wore a kind of hat he has never seen before but it suits very well on him. He took off his trench coat and he wore a tight black t shirt underneath. The shirt lined his muscles and the form of his body which made Kakyoin slightly blush.
"Uhm...w-where am I? And, may I ask, who are you?" Kakyoin removed the covers completely.
"Hmm... you're in my cabin. I'm Jotaro. Jotaro Kujo," huffed the male.
"Nice to meet you Jotaro Kujo. I'm Kakyoin Noriaki. If I'm correct, you're the one who healed me?"
Suddenly, another tall male bursts through the door. "Where is it?!" He yelled. He had silver hair which was similar to the shape of a cylinder. He wore a black shirt with one strap along his shoulder and gray pants. What an odd style.
"Polnareff, don't brother the- oh." Another male entered, trying to drag the one named Polnareff back outside. His style was way different than the others. It reminds Kakyoin of a monk but not exactly either. His clothing are more traditional and well put together.
"Uh.. hello," waved Kakyoin at the new people.
"Greeting. Apologies for Polnareff making the ruckus here." He starts pulling Polnareff's ear.
"Ow! Avdol stop! I'm sorry!"
Jotaro just sighed while crossing his arms.
"It's alright guys. He's awake."
"Oh, that's great. Let me see if that ankle of yours. I need to make sure it's healing correctly." Avdol examined Kakyoin's ankle, readjusting it for extra precaution. "Looks good to me."
"Wait, May I ask where am I? How did I get here..?"
"Well, it seems that you fell over a hill that was too steep to even get down of and tore some muscle in your ankle from the fall. Jotaro here found you in the woods unconscious."
"Oh." Kakyoin now recalls about trying to get back home late at night. He must've taken the wrong path or something.
"You're ankle isn't severly strained. If it was, you'd be resting for six weeks or more. But in this case, it's only 2 or 3 weeks," reassured Avdol to Kakyoin. "Now, what we're you doing in the middle of the woods late at night? Don't you know it's dangerous?"
"Uh... I was only trying to get home. I must've taken the wrong path or something..."
"Home?" questioned Jotaro. "Must be far because there are no huma-"
"People! Ahem-.. what Jotaro meant there's no nearby people besides us." Avdol eyed Jotaro, only for Jotaro to click his tongue in response.
"Just you guys..? Hmm.. so you're saying you guys just live by yourselves?.. out here.. in the middle of no where?"
"Pretty much," shrugged Polnareff.
Kakyoin had more questions but decided to push them to the side. After all, he should be thanking them for saving him and healing him instead of nagging for answers for please his questions.
"Well, thank you for finding me and healing my injury. I think it's rude of me if I stay any longer and god, I don't even know how long I was out and I'm here just hogging up this bed."
"I don't recommend leaving just now," mentioned Avdol. "You may move your ankle out of place and well.. the trip from here to any close by towns is a long walk. You're ankle is very swollen and can lead to more weeks into resting it if you dare to try walking on it now," warned Avdol
