The bag dropped to the floor with a thump while his eyes widened in disbelief.
She just nodded with a small smile playing on her lips.
He fidgeted with his glasses then, confusion painting his features. He then turned to her again, trying to affirm what he had just heard.
"Did I....Did you just...." He trailed, his finger pointing from her to himself.
She shook her head at his disbelief but as his eyes furrowed in confusion, she palmed her face.
Now he felt positively lost as she beamed at him.
"I..." he cleared his ears then and continued, "must've misheard because there is no way you just said that you lov--
"I love you, Anuj", Her proclamation cut off his words and all expressions drained from Anuj's face.
While she flashed him a beautiful yet shy smile, his heart stopped, then started beating, before it skyrocketed.
And soon a lone tear escaped his eye, as his face lit up with a charming smile. Finally.
