Inspiration is a wonderful thing. When you find something or someone who not only makes you happy but encourages you to keep going, that better days are coming and everything is gonna be okay.
For over a decade, Winter was that inspiration for me.
Her story has been a beacon of hope for me. She's made me the person I am today and started off my love and passion for the ocean, I truly believe that had she not been in my life, I wouldn't be here today.
My heart breaks to write this... The thought of not seeing you ever again. Not hearing your whistles echo throughout the aquarium. Not ever getting the chance to work alongside you and spend everyday with you. I was so close. Not ever looking into your eyes again, feeling the hope to carry on...
Winter, thank you for saving my life and helping me change for the better.
The day I had the privilege to meet you and look into your hopeful eyes will forever stay in my heart. It was the day I saw how similar you and I were, that there were others like me, and that I wasn't alone.
