I have returned.

Yes. Hi.

Story :D.

I know this chapter is kinda short and I'm sorry, but I promise it'll get better.

Anyway.

Enjoy <3

- I-I don't really know how to say this but... Y/n..., Yoongi blurted, trying to find the words he was searching for.

Your boyfriend paused as he peeked down into your concerned eyes. He quickly looked away, unable to withstand your stare.

Things had been pretty rough these past few weeks for the two of you and, at the end of the school day, roughly twenty minutes ago, the young man had timidly asked you to come meet him at your spot. Your "spot" being a small, odd-looking tree beside the football field.

You'd accepted willingly, hoping this was an attempt of his to try and fix your relationship.

However, now that he looked so uncomfortable and stressed, you were beginning to understand what was about to happen.

- This was really nice Y/n. You're a great person. I just don't want to keep going. I need to end it... I need to end us., the young man finished quickly, hoping his voice wasn't shaking.

- Ok., you muttered, turning your back to him in an attempt to hide your distress.

He wrung his hands, guilt washing over him.

- Ok...? That's it?, he risked trying to step closer to you.

- Well what do you want me to say, Yoongi., you argued, glancing back at him.

He looked down at the ground. What had he been expecting? He wasn't entirely sure.

- You're right. I'm sorry. Umm... I'll see you tomorrow, he blurted, blushing.

- See you tomorrow., you finished sadly.

You turned your back to him and hurried back to your friend group, strongly resisting the urge to dissolve into tears.

Your best friend immediately noticed that something was wrong as you came to stand beside him.

Taehyung pulled you aside quickly.

He'd seen Yoongi and you walking over to your spot and now that you were on the verge of tears he was quite concerned.

- You ok?, he risked, reaching out to take your hand.

- He broke up, Tae., you choked as he pulled you against his chest, wrapping his arms around you.

- Oh honey..., he whispered soothingly, rubbing your back.

You sobbed into his chest, shaking as he hugged you tighter.

- Want to come over tonight?, he offered, kissing the top of your head.

- I don't know Tae..., you hesitated, looking up at him.

- You don't have to, honey. I'm just offering. It is Friday after all. We could have a sleepover. It might make you feel better., he continued.

You looked over at your other friends as you prepared your answer.

Jimin was chasing Jungkook for having stolen his chemistry homework while Namjoon and Jin sat side by side, looking at their phones, occasionally pointing things out to each other.

Hobi, Yoongi's best friend, was leaning against a tree, alone, staring at you.

You jumped slightly at the sight, turning back to Taehyung.

- I'd love too., you agreed, smiling to the best of your capabilities.

He grinned as you broke free to go get your bag.

As you bent down to pick up your stuff, you heard footsteps approaching behind you. You stood back up, swinging your backpack over your shoulder.

Jung Hoseok was standing in front of you. He was staring at you again.

- Hobi? You good?, you inquired slowly, as you looked him over.

- Yeah... I-I just... Umm... Did Yoongi break up with you?, he began as he toyed nervously with a ring on his index finger.

You took a step back, as emotions began to wash over you again. You fought desperately against the tears appearing in your eyes again.

Hoseok quickly reached out for you and pulled you against his chest.

You just stood there, in his arms, insanely confused.

He'd never hugged you before.

In fact, he'd barely even talked to you.

- I'm sorry. I'm sorry., he whispered., I didn't mean to make you sad. I just needed to know.

What in the world?

Putting aside your confusion, you had to admit that there was something oddly reassuring about the way he held you.

- He didn't deserve you sweetie., he comforted you quietly.

You pulled away from him, smiling sadly.

- Don't say that. He's your best friend., you pointed out, as you both stared at each other.

- I know that and I love him with my whole heart, but I meant what I said. He didn't deserve you Y/n., he pressed, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

You desperately resisted the urge to lean into his touch as your best friend came up beside you, draping one arm across your shoulders.

- Ready to go?, he questioned, defying your interlocutor with his gaze.

- Yeah., you stated simply.

But... To be perfectly honest...

You kind of wanted to stay with Hoseok.

Taehyung pulled you away, as you waved good-bye to your new friend.

He waved back with a huge grin.

You watched as he turned around and walked over to Namjoon and Jin.

Was it odd that he had made you feel safer in two minutes than Tae had made you feel in ten years?

Your best friend eyed you as you stared back at the dark-haired boy.

He really didn't like the look in your eyes.

Yoongi's breakup was still too fresh. Hoseok shouldn't have tried to approach you.

You weren't ready for this.

You weren't ready for him.

You've reached the end of published parts.
