The Adventure of Sanne

Chapter 1

"Oh, God! I would be late today!" I exclaimed as I saw the clock.

And there came a shilling roar, "Sanne, can't ya' help yor sister to get ready? Don't ya' remember that it's yor' sister's birthday?" 

It was my aunt, Hema. I rushed down the stairs with  backpack. My cousin, Nancy, we are in same school.

She is one of the bully of the school. "Hey, Sanne will you not wish me?" Nancy was painting her nails pink. 

"Happy Birthday, Nancy" I wished her as I entered her untidy room. She has a big room than me yet she always complain about lack of space.

"Now my gift?" Nancy stood with her hands opened to receive the gift.

 "Nancy...." 

"What !?!" Nancy roared, and aunt came rushing to her room. 

"Wat happened, baby?" "Mom

"She refused to give me gift"

 "Um...No Aunty." Hema cut me in the between.

"You... Just step aside and finish washing the dishes" 

"But aunt I am late to school..." I was almost in tears. 

"How dar' ya' speak between... just go?" She was about to push me, but Nancy started crying, the tears of crocodile.

And I rushed towards kitchen to clean the plates because I don't want be the part of drama again.

Why me, God! Today also I would be punished.

 Nancy left for school. But I wasn't done and I think I'll lose this day too. Today, it was first day after holidays.

My aunt gave another shout, "Did ya' finished?"

 "Yes, Aunty" I replied politely.

 "Then wat' are ya' waiting for? Go" she shouted from couch with remote on her hand. 

"Aunty, I am late... And our first period may have over" 

"Ho cares? Don't waste our money. And remember ya will hav to do part time job after this year. So, Go Now and don't show yor face."

I hurried on my cycle. My school wasn't to far but it wasn't too close too.

"Oh, Hello Miss Late" It was Amy, I almost got heart-attack as I jumped into the class from window

"Be quite... And where is teacher?" 

"There is a dance competition, and you know your cousin organized it?" Amy told her with slight expression. 

"I don't know and even not want to talk about it" I took out my physics textbook and started reading.

After some moments, teacher arrived and announced to the class, "Listen, dear children, we all are heading to stage room. So I hope you maintain discipline." 

"What the hell! We are now 17 and still teacher instructs like that... Isn't it embracing, Sanne?" Amy strike the bag on the bench.

 "Be calm" I stopped her. 

"Oh you always say the same things to me" She looked at me with rage. 

"You are overreacting, now let's go" I stretched Amy's hand. 

"Hey, Amy don't behave like little baby" Said Kallie, the head girl of class.

 "And Kal, don't behave like a woman in her 30's" Whole class laughed.

"Oh, come on class" Teacher called from outside.

We all followed the stage room. And there was Nancy, standing on stage in her fanciest dress, she looked dramatically. From beginning to the end, Amy and I chatted with each other paid no attention on what's going on the stage, as they knew that it's just nonsense. 

The competition finished. And principal announced that Nancy's team won the competition, as usual, because if another team had won the competition then Nancy's group, Death Angels would have grounded that team so they had monopoly over the school.

 She further announced that the school have organized camping on Turpids Summit the next week. 

"We'll have fun next week right?" Amy gave a startle smile a Sanne who was thinking something.

 "I don't think my aunt will allow me..." 

"No you have to... I will request your aunt"

"Sanne, can you come with me?" Nancy waved her hand toward me. 

"I have to go" 

"Okay" Amy said. She went toward her. 

"Sanne, you have to come with me in this trip " Nancy told her strongly. "Why?" 

"Oh... You started questioning? Huh? I'll ask Mom to permit you for coming with me...Now Go" She pushed me.

 Her group came over. "What did you said to that orphan?" a fat girl said looking at me.

"Nothing... Let's Go." Nancy dragged them away.

Why Nancy told me to come...There must be a reason.

Then I entered the classroom and taking her backpack I hurried toward the lobby where Amy was waiting. "What did she said?" 

"Umm. Nothing. I think that I'll come"

 "Yay" she hugged her with joy.

We left for home. I was cycling and saw something in the sky shinning

It must be an aero plane. It looks like some disk. No...Its...Not at all. An UFO.I must be dreaming. Oh No! How fool of me It's a cloud. 

I laughed at myself. I always start dreaming things, this reminded me of Mom and Dad.

Lost in thoughts, suddenly I lost my balance and fall. For the God's sake I wasn't hurt so I stood up and cleared the dust on my uniform. 

When I started moving, I noticed something, it was my old house, which uncle told me that I used to live in that house with my Mom and Dad.

I saw an envelope lying on the dirty floor and too much my surprise was that the letter seemed new. I took the letter.

"TO SANNE" It was written with bold.

Who would be? In my life I never had received a letter

I opened and read it. I almost died at the moment....
