We were in a room. It was cold, empty, save for a few monitors and wires everywhere.

She was with me. A girl.

I don't know why, but I know that I'm in love with her.

I grabbed her hand, but she snatched away from me and punched me in the shoulder.

Then she laughed, with this cruel smirk on her face.

I stared at her for a moment.

I smiled at her.

I exited the room, with her following me.

The walls were made of metal, and the floors were steel. Our footsteps were audible enough to wake someone's alcoholic father.

That's when we finally made it. To the "living room".

There was no TV, no table, no window - just a stiff and pulsing couch.

"How boring," the girl comments.

I noticed something glowing out of the corner of my eye.

Fluttering.....flying....

...It's a firefly.

I walk over to it. It hovers aimlessly in the air, drifting left to right.

Cupping my hands around it's little vessel, I gently capture it...

...and I curiously put it in my mouth.

"W-Whaa?," my crush says. She witnessed the whole thing.

After swallowing, I close my eyes for a long time, then reopen them.

I look up at her.

She looks back at me.

We stare at each other in a 10 second silence.

I close my eyes again, and open them once more.

Another grin graces my face.

The image of my future wife staring at me freezes in my mind. It stays like that for a while, before being pushed into the storage of my brain.

Now, I can take photos with my mind.
