As I ran I could hear her screaming behind me as her hand gripped mine tighter "run! RUN!" As we ran faster I heard our pursuer screaming from behind " Elisia get back here!" the king screamed chasing us, sword drawn barreling through the brush like an angry bull fuming with rage. I stopped dead in my tracks tucking the queen behind me, " don't be scared my lady!" I yelled, drawing my bow from my back and aiming an arrow at his throat. He stopped in his tracks only to dive behind a tree to avoid my aim, but I shot him mid dive and his body rolled down the ravine crashing and alerting the guards behind him, I heard the princess scream " Father! NO!" she races down the ravine to meet her fathers body at the bottom she yells and cries in sorrow " Mother! Mother, what have you done!?" I turned to look behind me to see tears streaming down her face. I grabbed her hand and we ran as fast as our legs could carry us. When we reached the cliffs I ran to the edge ready to jump in and swim away from this awful place. Dreaming of our lives together in a small cabin in the forest among the spruce and pine. But when i turn i notice her body frozen in place scared for her life " i don't know if i can do this..." she mumbled under her breath I trended the rest of my body and I smile " this is the only way out" i hold my hand out and lean back feeling wind beneath my gear and a feeling of calm, i open my eyes to see her leaping off the cliff her scarlet dress flowing in the wind.
