'How may I help you?'

Mika was sweeping up a mess that one of the last customers just made. It was a bunch of teenagers that didn't give two shit about the crumbs from the banana bread. Mika finished sweeping up the mess when more teenagers came in. They groaned and put the broom up. They took their order and they all wanted banana bread and pumpkin bread. Mika handed them their food and they all left. She sighed a sigh of relief once they left. She took more orders and helped clean up. She loved her job. She really did. She was thankful to get this job and work with such amazing people. She applied to this job to help with her rent. They was working three jobs at the time but once Jackson, the owner of the café, offered the apartment up above the shop for her. She gladly took it. Jackson was the sweetest man ever. For being in his 70's, He was super happy and energetic. Always helping out. Always talking to customers. Mika was cleaning the counter top when Jackson came up to her. 

"Hey, I hate to ask this but can you come in tomorrow? I need extra help" Mika nodded and smiled.

"Yeah, of course" Mika and Jackson talked for a bit before Mika walked up to the apartment. She walked in and laid down on the couch. She turned on some Netflix and watched Community for the 100th time. She sighed and got up when she heard her cat meowing. She walked into the kitchen and gave her cat some food. Mika sighed and looked down at her black and white cat and thought she should make some food. She made a small pasta dish and went back to the couch. She ate her food and watched some episodes before getting up and cleaning her dish. They walked into her room and changed into a big hoodie and some shorts before laying down and falling into deep sleep.

She got up the next morning and got ready with her uniform. She did light makeup for today to change things up and went to the kitchen. They gave her cat some food and scooped the box. She grabbed her phone and went down to the shop. She was opening today since Brittany decided that she had better things to do. She went in and cleaned up some things and checked that everything was good to go. She opened up at exactly 7 am on the dot and the usual's started coming in. She got them their food and drinks. Then it was calm. It normally was at 10 am on a Monday. She made herself a coffee and drank it while waiting for the rush to start coming in. She heard the bell chime and sighed. When she looked up she saw the cutest man to probably ever walk in here. They looked at his brown hair and the way his clothes fit him. You could tell he was buff but not extremely buff. Mika put down the coffee and gave the man a warm welcoming smile. He walked over and looked at the menu above her. 

"Hi, Welcome to Green Tree Café. How may I help you?" Mika spoke up. The tall brown haired boy smiled and spoke up 

"I would like the special Green Tree mocha and your name" Mika blushed and chuckled.

"Alright, your total is 3.60 and my name is Mika" The boy smiled and nodded, paying the girl. Mika started to make his coffee and put her number on a napkin. She thought that this might be her only shot at dating or being friends with a handsome guy like him. She handed him his drink and napkin. "You enjoy the rest of your day sir" They smiled and he smiled back ,walking to a table and sitting down. She cleaned up the counters a bit before the rush came in. She was making about twenty different coffee's all by herself. After the rush, she went to tables to clean them up. She went to the man's table and saw that he had left. She sighed and cleaned up his table. She finished cleaning up when her co-worker, Sara came in. They told Mika that they can clean up and Mika can go on a break. She thanked them and went up to her apartment. She opened her phone to see a message from an unknown number.

Hi! Is this Mika's number? It's the boy from the café 

Mika smiled a big smile and texted back

Yes! and what's your name? I never got it

Mika
alright good to know. How was your coffee?

No(ah)
It was very good, I might just have to come back for another one :) 

Mika
That's good to hear. would love to chat more but I have to get back to work. Bye Noah!

Mika put her phone down and smiled before heading back down to their job. She worked for a bit longer and was texting Noah through out her whole lunch break. She and him really clicked. She was glad that they clicked as well as they did.
