I stepped onto my bike, making sure I got everything. Phone? Check. Headphones? Check. Keys? Check. I didin't care much about if I had all my books. I didin't really pay attention in school.
But to her.
She was so... beautiful...
She always looked good. No matter the weather, the day, she always did. I wish I had enough courage to talk to her and maybe ask her out.

I shook the thoughts out of my head as I realize I almost drove into a tree. I quickly re-organize the thoughts in my head and drive up to the school. Usually I was earlier then anyone else, so I could see her.

Everyday I sat right across the entrance so I could see who entered the school. She always waved at me, or smiled, but lately she didin't pay attention to me. Did I mess up? Did I do something wrong? All those thoughts kept running in my head.

Minutes and minutes passed, class was starting in about 15 minutes. Normally she'd already be here, but today she just wasn't here... Was she sick? What happened to her?

"Hey, dude. You good?" Jordan pushes me lightly. "She's hasn't came yet. I'm worried." I responded. "Dude, you should talk to her! You always stare at her when she comes in, maybe she chose a different entrance today."
"Am I really creepy?"
"Well, yeah. You stare at her everytime. I'd be creeped out."

Suddenly the bell rang, but she still didin't come. Maybe Jordan was right... Maybe I creeped her out she changed schools...

[8.45, english.]

I stared at the message.

'Hey Carla, are you okay? You're not at school today.'

I slouch down in my chair. That's creepy, I think to myself. Should I send it? We barely talk. What if she'll screenshot it and show her friends? What if she'll hate me? Does she even know I have her number? Dammit.

I put my phone down, listening to the teacher. This class was easy, I never really payed attention.

As I was scribbling in my notebook someone comes into the classroom.

It was her.

Her clothes we're soaking wet due to the rain. Her hair was messy but she still looked as pretty as always.
"Miss Miller, care to explain why you're late?"
"I missed the bus, I'm sorry sir."
"Just sit down."

I notice the seat next to me was empty.
Is this my lucky day? Is she gonna sit next to me? Do i smell good? Oh fuck, fuck, fuck.

She walks towards me, smiling. I smiled back until i realized she was smiling at someone else. At him. Oliver. The popular guy who was sitting behind me. The seat next to him was also empty. My mood instantly goes down. Of course she doesn't like him, what the hell was I thinking?

[10.15, lunch.]

I was sitting with Jordan at the table we always used to sit at.
"Dude. You're staring at her again." Jordan says. I look down at my tray and frown.
"Oh come on, talk to her!" Jordan tries to motivate me. "She likes Oliver."
"You sure?"
"She chose to sit next to him instead of me."
"My god... You're such an overthinker", he pauses for a second.
"Carla!" Jordan suddenly calls out.

I quickly put my hand over his mouth. "Shut up! Shut, shut, shut!"
"Need any help?" my breath suddenly stops as I hear Carla's voice. I let go of Jordan, looking up at her.
"H-Hey Carla!" I say. She just smiles at me in response.
"Carla!" I hear Oliver call her.
"Sorry, gotta go." she says, walking away.
"Wait!" I grab her arm.

DUDE WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING???

I still didin't let go of her arm. Her expression was... scared? Anger? Confusion?

I quickly released her hand and just spit something out. "Wanna go to my place today? S-Study?"
She looks at me confused, then smiles. "Sure." she says, walking away. I stood there, heart racing and mind running. Did I just ask her out?

"Congrats dude! You finally did it!" Jordan pats my shoulder as I sit down again. "I did it..." my hands were shaking. I did it... I look up from my hands and catch Oliver staring at me. He wasn't exactly happy...

[after school]

"Noey! Wait up!" I heard someone yell as I was about to grab my bike. It was Carla. I quickly turn around and smile as she runs up to me and gives me a hug. "Let me grab my bike." she says, walking over to her bike a couple bikes away. I grab my own bike and walk to the gate, waiting for her.

We both bike to my house. Luckily my brother wasn't home yet and mom was working.
We walk over to my room as I place my bag beside my bed, grabbing my history book. I look over at Carla. She was grabbing her history book too.

"You want something to drink?" I ask.
"Water." she smiles at me.
I get up and walk to the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water and a glass. I go back to my room and pour some water in glass and hand it to her. "Thanks."
"O-Oh yeah, no problem." I smile.
"Do you understand anything?" she asks me. I look down at my book. "Yeah, it's pretty easy." I look back at her. "Need any help?" I ask. "Yeah.." she chuckles softly.

We chilled at my house for about 2 hours until she had to go.

"It was nice." I said, waving at her.
"See you tommorow at school!" she smiled, stepping onto her bike and riding away.

I go back to my room and lay down. My face was red as a beetroot, my hands were shaking and my heart was beating at a fast pace.

This was the best day ever.
