Math Assignment

You were in math class working on a problem. It is kinda hard. You know you can figure it out though. "It's 68" someone said. You look to your left and see a boy looking at you. "The answer, it's 68" he said. "Oh,thank you" you say. "Am Ponyboy Curtis but you can call me Pony" said Pony. "Hey Pony,am (Y/N),nice to meet you" you say. "Nice to meet you to" said Pony. You both smiled. Then you look at your paper to see if it's right. The answer was right in front of you and you didn't even know it. "Oh,duh" you thought. You and Pony are actually the only greasers in that class. Mostly everyone is Socs but there is some middle class. More than two in that group though. Being in a advanced class is actually pretty hard sometimes. Especially figuring out a math problem at times. You look to your right to see Bob glance at you for a second. Then you quickly look away. The teacher said that there was going to be a math project and you are going to be assigned at partner. You got Pony as your partner. You were really happy about that. You are just happy that you got a greaser and not a Soc."So do you want to work on it at my house or yours"? Pony asked. "Oh,uh,I don't care" you say. "Ok,how about mine,then you could meet my gang" said Pony. "Ok,sounds good" you say. A few minutes after you guys get off the bus,a blue Mustang pulls up beside you guys. They get out and you realize that it is Bob and Randy. Also other Socs you didn't know. "Well,well,hey greasers" said Bob. "What do you want Bob"? Pony asked. "Dose it really matter"? Bob asked. "Actually yes,it dose" said Pony. "Oh come on,Horseboy, don't be like that" said Bob. "Um Bob,his name is Ponyboy" said Randy. "Oh, that's what I meant" said Bob. "Sure you did" said Pony. "Anyways,we are looking to jump some greasers" said Randy. "Well leave us alone" said Pony. "Oh Curtis,you know we aren't going to do that" said Bob. "I sure wish you didn't know my name" said Pony. Bob glared at Pony. "Y-you know,you g-guys are out of your t-territory" you say. Bob then turned his attention to you. "Dose it look like I care" said Bob. "You should care" you say. Bob takes a few steeps closer to you. "What's your name greaser"? Bob asked. "(Y/N)" you say. "I recognize you from our class" said Randy. "Yeah,me too" said Bob. "I thought you might recognize me from class considering you got a glance at me" you say. "Maybe you would be Pony's girlfriend" Bob wispered in your ear. You looked at Pony but he didn't seem to notice. He was focusing on the Socs crowded around him. "We are just friends" you wispered back. "We well see about that" Bob wispered back. "See you greasers later,maybe next time you guys won't be so lucky" said Bob. With that,they drove off. You and Pony were silent the whole way there. You took a deep breath before you entered the house. Everyone was focusing on the TV. At least everyone who was there. "Hey guys,this is (Y/N),and we are just working on a math project together" said Pony. Everyone looked up. "So Pony,you finally brought over a girl huh" someone said. "Cut it out Keith" said Pony. That kid glared at Pony. You look around when you notice someone you know. It was no other than the famous Dallas Winston. "H-he's in the gang" you thought. "This is Steve Randle and next to him is Keith Mathews but you can call him Two-Bit" said Pony. "Hey,nice to meet you" said Steve. "Yeah,nice to meet you" Two-Bit said still glaring at Pony. "Over there is Johnny Cade and my brother Sodapop Curtis but you can call him Soda" said Pony. My other brother well be here later" said Pony. "Hi,nice to meet you" said Soda cheerfully. "H-hey n-nice to meet y-you" said Johnny. "And that is Dallas Winston but you can call him Dally" said Pony. "Hi,good to meet you I guess" said Dallas. "Yeah,yeah,I know who he is,he has gotten himself into jail a lot" you say. "Oh,so you have heard of me" said Dallas. "I guess" you say. Then he winks at you. You and Pony then go work on the project. A few hours later,someone come though the door. "Hey,can you come here for a second Dar"? Pony asked. "I guess" he said. He walks to where Pony's at. "This is (Y/N),she is helping me with a math project. "Hey,am Darrel Curtis but you can call me Darry" said Darry. "Nice to meet you" you say. He grins then walks away. "Ok so,if you had 10 cards on Monday and you get 10 more everyday how many cards would you have at the end of the week"? Pony asked. "Well then that would be 70 because you start with 10 then you get 10 each day so you do 10*7 which is 70" you say. "Your right" said Pony. You are there for a few more hours then head home. You are glad you met Pony's gang and that you got Pony as your partner.
