Leaves swayed in the wind on a sunny day. There stood a village frozen in time, in ruins that is. Nothing was left there except for tombstones and disintegrated homes, paths weathered away grass around them in time. Nothing was inhabited anymore, except for a small camp nearby.
The camp wasn't too big or anything, just three tents, enough for a family of four right? Hm, maybe not. Ever since they have been revived everything was a struggle, food, water and everything else. Swords and armor weren't a problem since they just took them from what remained from the village.
What they only remember was black. Everything was black, until they opened their eyes and the sun shined bright. That was only what they could only recall. Have they blacked out? Who knows.
Up in the sky, a small orb was gently falling towards the ruins of the village that once stood there. Once it had reached the ground it shined a bright light, then faded, leaving a sleeping woman. The woman has light skin and only wore undergarments that covered her top and lower half of her body. Slowly the woman opened up her eyes and looked around, wondering where she was.
Footsteps were heard and caught her attention. Quickly she turned her head and saw a man with black hair and colored eyes, he also has tanned skin.“What are you doing out here maiden?” The man reached out his hand. The woman took it, hesitantly. Part of her felt like she could trust him.
They both walked back to the camp. The village was called FalconClaw before. The wheat field was instead replaced with tombstones of the many people who lost their lives. Their cries could be heard, it wasn't loud or too quiet. It was enough for the woman to hear, but there was nothing she could do except listen.
In one of the tents, the woman sat on a wooden chair. It felt cold against her skin, but it was her choice since the grass made her body itch if she sat on it. There she waited patiently for the man to return, he told her he was going to get something for her. Whatever it was, she trusted him, even though she didn't know the man.
Several minutes later the man returned with a fairly conservative red dress. The man put it on her, from what it seemed to him she didn't know how.
“What is your name?” the man asked. The woman thought for a moment. “It's Ashley,” the woman said. The man nodded “My name is Derek.” He then handed her a bowl of soup. “It ain't much, but that should make you full for now.” Ashley drank it, while Derek walked out of the tent. It was then when she finished and walked out of the tent she noticed that the food was running low.
In return for Derek taking her in and helping her, she went to look for anything that was edible. She was unsure where to look, so she checked the forest first.
She walked through the forest then came to a stop once she found some raspberries. In a hurry she picked them, but in the process of doing that she realized she had no idea on how to carry them back. Looking around, she looked down at her dress, thinking she could just carry them in the dress like a pouch or some sort. She knelt down and placed the berries on her lap, then gently lifted the skirt of her dress up and made her way back to the camp.
Back at the camp, Ashley lowered the skirt and the berries fell in a pile. Now she was gonna look for more, but first she needed something to carry things in. A leather bag was the best option. She went to each three of the tents to find one and after she did, made her way back into the forest.
Gripping tightly onto the leather bag, she stumbled upon an empty space with a light red colored staff plunged into the soil, just staring at it in silence. She slowly went up to it and felt it,, soon she came back to reality after remembering what she came for, food. Did fish count as food? If so then how the heck will she get a fish, maybe she should just stick to getting things that are on land.
