"Excuse you?" Came the question without hesitation.
"I said, We. Are. Moving."
"Ok. Yeah, that part. But why is that a part. Why are we moving?" Hands now on her hips and face still hit with shock.
"One, I want to. Two, umm just because. And also the fact that I have to money to." Said persons' shoulders just shrugged.
"See this why black folk can't never have shit! They gotta spend the money as soon as they get it!!" She said hastily walking away, turning a corner in the house.
TIME SKIP📍AIRPORT
Looking around, she finally asked a question that should have been asked.
"Oh yeah, where we moving to anyways?" She asked taking a seat.
"You know, I've been thinking of when you'd ask me. But we're going to Japan."
"...." She looked at him, a look on her face that he didn't quite know.
"...." He stared back at her. Feeling uncomfortable at the air around her.
"Da...."
"Yes, my sugarplum?" He asked, sweetness covering his words. She knew what he was doing so it had no affect.
"I'm thinking we're moving some states over!! Hell eve-"
"I know sweetie but come on we both how to speak the language and even read it so why not?!" He tried to reason. She has the hot temper and foul mouth the her mother had. So he doesn't want to make her too upset.
"Dad, we have an entire life here! What ab-" She's really sick of being cut off.
"What about what huh? What family, Diamond? They don't even talk to us. And you know damn well nether one of us have any friends? So why not?" He finished, voice raised slightly but not enough to draw attention. He knows that she'd freak out if there was too much attention placed on her.
(Imma just spare y'all too many details. Her mom, his wife, died. So her side of the family blames her. And for him, he's always been the outcast or black sheep of of his family so they've never really liked him. So it's just the two of them. And ms girl ain't got no friends and neither does he. So they just like just there ig. And they fam don't even reach out. Reunions? Not invited. Birthday party's? Not invited. And if they even try to invite ppl themselves? Nobody shows.)
"Why not?! You don't even have a job there! Where are we gonna stay? And where the hell did we even get the money? Cause just two days ago you ain't even have enough to buy a large fry from Burger King." She asked and said with all seriousness.
While she was talking they didn't notice the person behind them snicker at her last sentence. He could hear that their situation was serious but couldn't help it.
