He's lying, and she knows.

SHE KNOWS

"Flight ************ will now be boarding. I repeat, flight *********** will now be boarding. Thank you for flying with ********** ****** Airlines. Have a safe flight."

"Well that's us, c'mon Diamond. That's our plane." He tried to lift her mood but it still remained sour.

Grabbing both their suitcases he walked off with her trailing behind. With a red headed teen close behind boarding the same plane.

Getting on the plane Diamond wanted to cry. I mean who would blame her.

You get home from it being the last day of freshman year of high school then you're told to pack, with no warning whatsoever. Going somewhere you've never been before. A different language, new people, new surroundings, hell new everything to you.

When you fully expected to see the same people in the next 2 months.

She began speeding up a little as she walked beside her dad.

"So, is our stuff coming with us?" She asked as quite as she could as to not draw attention.

"Yeah, but just some. Like the necessities, silverware, furniture and such." Looking at her from his peripheral vision he felt guilt, though it was soon pushed aside when he saw their seat numbers (or however u supposed to know your seat onna plane).

Putting both their carry-ons above them he sat down beside her.

"Look, DeDi I kno-"

"Why are we really moving?" She continued to look out of the window, not sparring him a glance.

"What are you talkin bout girl?" He tried to get rid of the suspension she held. He didn't think there would be any to begin with but, she has always been full of surprises. Just like her mom.

"I told you why. Nothing more, nothing less."

"Ok." His heart rate spiked a little at the dry response. Dry responds were never a good sign with her.

"Why would you thin-" before he could finish flight attendant came up.

"Excuse me Sir, but we are preparing to take flight. Please buckle up."

'Damn. Ok then.'

"Yeah. My bad." Hurriedly putting on the seatbelt he turned to Diamond. She had already put her headphones on, looking out the small window.

He sat there, thinking, as the rest of the passengers prepared for take-off. Should he do this? Would doing this put her in danger? Is he really willing to risk her life while risking his own? Why is she suspicious? Was his say not believable?

No matter, if he changed his mind there was no going back. A deal is a deal when the deal is sealed.

He has to focus on other, much more important matters at hand, right now.

Letting out a breath through his nose, he sat back. Waiting for the plane to take flight.

In Diamond's opinion, her father is a good person and also good at his fatherly duties. He loves her, gives her endless support, great advice whether she needs it or not, and treats her like a princess.

But in her line of judgment she could also tell his weak points. Because of course nobody's flawless or faultless, it's just not possible.

Right off the top of her head she can tell you, lying is one of his fragility's. From as early as the age 8 she began watching people. Their body language, seeing their behaviors, looking at their performance, facial expressions.

If you can perceive it, she's already had it under her under observation.
