*Piper's POV*
"I brought you a sandwich," my mom informed me, walking in the door and over to my bed, the rest of my family following quickly behind.
"Thanks," I said.
I began opening it and took a bite. I was hungry, believe it or not.
"Hey look, I'm gonna head on home because I have to spend some time with my family," Harry spoke up, telling me.
"Don't leave yet, Harry. I'll drive you home. Andy, Corinna and I are gonna leave in about 10 minutes. Think you can wait a little?" My dad smiled.
"Yes, sir. That'd be great. Thank you," Harry politely smiled.
Corinna came over to my bed and leaned down, giving me a hug.
"Were you with Kyra last night? Did you give her my number?" I whispered to her.
She nodded regretfully.
"I fell asleep and she took my phone! I didn't know- I swear!" She replied.
"You know what, don't even talk to me for the rest of the time I'm home. I don't wanna hear any of it," I replied.
Tears formed in her eyes and she quickly wiped them away.
"I'm gonna go wait in the waiting room," she announced, getting up.
"I can't wait to go home," I sighed, looking around the room.
The room went silent, my mom sat there rubbing my hand, watching me like a hawk while my dad stood there rubbing her shoulders. Andy and Harry sat in the chairs near the window chatting amongst themselves. It remained quiet like this for a few minutes before my dad finally spoke up.
"Well, I think we're gonna head on home and let you rest.. I love you Piper," my dad told me.
We all said our goodbyes and my dad, Harry, Corinna, and Andy left leaving my mother and I alone in the room.
Oh boy, I get to spend the next 24 hours alone with her and her nagging. Awesome.
"Piper, I just want you to know that we love you very much and we don't want you going anywhere anytime soon," she smiled, tears filled her eyes.
"I know, mom," I whispered.
Throughout the night, multiple nurses came in and out to check on me while my mother laid on the bed next to mine, eyes wide open.
"Stop staring at me!" I groaned.
"I'm sorry sweetie. It's just, I- I'm really concerned. I should have been home taking care of you. This wouldn't have happened on my watch. You know what? I'm gonna quit my job! It'll be great! We can move upstate to Seattle and I can keep a close eye on you!" My mom suggested.
"Please don't ever do that. I'm fine!"
"Obviously you're not fine, Piper! Look where we're at!" She snapped.
"You think I wanna be here?" I asked her.
I sat up and dangled my feet over the side, searching my bed for my cell phone.
Once I found it, I slipped my shoes on and pressed the nurses button. An older nurse walked in my room and I told her I needed to get some fresh air, be by myself for a little and she unhooked me from the IV's and helped me into a wheelchair.
"Do you need some help getting around in this thing?" The nurse asked me.
"No thank you. Can you just tell me how to get to the cafeteria?" I asked her.
