Alcie silently entered her mother's bathroom, climbing onto the rickety spinny chair that sat in the corner. Marina paid her no mind, already in the process of taking out her makeup. Eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, lip gloss, other things that Alcie couldn't put a name to but was sure were important if Marina was putting them on. After getting out everything she needed, Marina would usually begin applying them, answering any questions Alcie might ask. However, today Alcie had something different in mind.

"Can I-" She paused as Marina glanced towards her, an eyebrow raised. "Can I, um..." Oh, jeez, come on Alce, it isn't that hard! She was silent for long enough that Marina took it upon herself to continue for her, turning in her direction.

"Can you...?"

"Can I- try putting some of your makeup on for you-?" A ridiculous request, Alcie was sure, as she would surely do much worse of a job than her mom could..
She added quickly, "I mean- Uh- S-Sorry, you don't have to- You can just continue with your thing- I just-"

"Sure."

"H-Huh?" Alcie looked up to peer at Marina, who was already pulling a chair out from under the counter.

"I said sure. I don't see an issue with it." Marina sat down in the chair, waiting for Alcie to come over.

"Really...? Al- Alright then!" Alcie hopped off her spinny chair, crossing the room and pausing in front of Marina's makeup. Hmm, what to put on first...?
Well, her mom always wore such dark and gloomy eyeshadow, so why not fix that? Alcie hovered her hand over the brushes, glancing over at Marina. "It's.. this one for eyeshadow, right?"

"Yup." Marina sat in her chair patiently, not saying a thing as Alcie dipped the brush towards the neon, colorful shades of the palette that were hardly ever touched. I mean, what did she really expect from Alcie anyways?

Alcie brushed on vivid shades of pink, yellow, blue, and more that stood out against her mother's dark skin. When she was satisfied with her work, she grabbed the brush she usually saw Marina use for blush, giggling as she continued to work her magic.

At last, Alcie moved back with an excited, "DONE!"

Marina looked at herself in the mirror, and... Huh. She certainly looked.. interesting, to say the least. Despite how sloppy some of her features looked, she couldn't help but grin with pride as she admired Alcie's handiwork.

"W-Well...? How did I do..?" Her daughter questioned, a nervous grin on her face.

"Amazin'."

"You- You think so??" Alcie straightened up, her eyes shining from just the simple praise.

"'Course. Couldn't have done it better myself." Marina pressed a kiss to the top of Alcie's head, the gal in question giggling elatedly. "How 'bout ya sit down and let me doll ya up now?"

"You'd do that?!" Alcie jumped up and down, her eyes blown wide from excitement.

"Mhm." Alcie quickly sat herself down in the chair, beaming as her mother got to work. Marina brushed on a light layer of makeup, trying to just enhance some of Alcie's features instead of smacking on a bunch of things. Because of this, it didn't take long before she moved away. "Finished."

Alcie immediately got out of the chair, gasping as she whipped her head around wildly to admire herself. "Oh.. my... GOODNESS! AAAAAH! I LOOK SO PRETTYYYYYYY! AHAHA!"

Marina watched fondly as her daughter gushed over herself, simply replying, "Glad ya liked it," with a smile.

Alcie suddenly turned to Marina, wrapping her arms around her waist (being careful not to smudge her newly applied makeup). "THANK YOU SOSOSOSOSO MUCH!"

"No problem." Marina hugged Alcie back, ruffling her hair as she pulled away.

"Ahehe, I'm gonna go show Wendy 'nd Bex how pretty I look now!" Alcie then dashed out of the room, her laughter fading out behind her.

"Have fun!" Marina called after Alcie, beginning to put away her makeup. Once she was done, she headed to her closet to put on some clothes that somewhat matched her new look. Never hurt to try and switch up her outfits anyways.

(Spoiler Alert: The outfit she chose was literally just a rainbow crop sweater and some high-waisted black jeans, so virtually no huge changes in her appearance.)
