Elisa woke up abruptly and immediately looked around at the new room she was in. Elisa looked down at her arms to see her right hand wrapped up as well as a spot on her left arm. The confused woman furrowed her brows and frowned. Elisa then looked over to her left to see Tom sleeping on a couch. Elisa cocked her head and suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head. Elisa raised her right hand and rubbed her head to try and calm it.
After a few seconds of silence, Tom woke up at the sound of the doctors walking in. Elisa looked behind the doctors, she saw two police men with their arms crossed. Elisa looked over at Tom to see him trying to muster a smile, Elisa grinned back.
The doctors all crowded around her and one man at the head of her bed began to speak. "Elisa Willems, age 27, GSW to the left forearm and knife wound to the right hand. And small head trauma resulting in bruising and minor headaches." The man then looked up at Elisa and smiled. "How are you feeling today, Elisa?"
Elisa nodded her head and smiled back. "I feel fine. Well- I feel those headaches you're talking about but other than that I feel fine." The doctor nods his head and closes his notebook in his hands. "That's great news. You were unconscious for about 13 hours- that's including the surgery to remove the bullet in your arm. But it seems like all that rest was good for you."
The doctor smiles again and looks over to the police. "Since you did call the police, we're going to have them step in here and ask you some questions. Is that alright?" Elisa nods her head then looks over at them.
The two men look over at Tom and shake their heads. "We need time alone with Ms. Willems." Elisa furrows her brows and holds out her hand. "No, no, he can stay." The police shake their heads once more. "I'm sorry ma'am but as a matter of privacy we need him out." Tom nods his head and then looks over at Elisa. "I'll be right outside." Elisa nods her head and watches as he walks out of the room.
The policemen stand on either side of the hospital bed and cross their hands. "I want you to tell us what exactly happened." Elisa takes a deep breath and nods her head. "Okay, um, I first came into my house to drop my luggage off and then I went right back out to get my animals from the vet. Once I got back, I was going to get food from the pantry but the lights wouldn't turn on. I was confused and I just stood there for a few seconds and then I heard my dog, Oakley, make a sound like he was hurt." Elisa took a break from speaking because it all seemed too new.
"I went into my bedroom where I heard the sound and I saw this woman in my room with a gun pointed at me. I sat on my bed and found out it was my former friend, Lotte Jansen." The police nod their heads. "Why was she a former friend?" Elisa looked up at him and took another deep breath. "Because she exposed private information of mine and a friend." The police nod their heads and let Elisa continue on.
"After I sat on the bed, she came up and sat next to me. She said that she wanted me out of her life and that she wanted to kill me. I didn't believe her but then she boasted about just killing my dog. I was then scared and ran out of my room. She shot me as I was running out. I fell to the ground and that's where I hit my head. I stood up and grabbed a knife behind me and sliced her face but that only made her mad. She had a knife hidden and stabbed my hand, making me drop the knife. She continued to talk and that's when I grabbed the knife that I dropped and I cut the back of her knee."
The policeman grimaced at what Elisa was saying but stayed quiet so that she could finish what she was saying.
"After that I thought she would give up. I took the gun from her and held it by my side. But she charged at me and I raised the gun and-" Elisa didn't finish what she was saying before she started to cry. "I- I shot her."
The police nod their heads and rub their heads. "Thank you for the statement. We'll take this to the station and write it up. Have a good day, miss, and I'm sorry for your loss." Elisa looks up and shakes her head. "Lotte wasn't my friend." The police purse their lips and shake their own heads. "Your pets, miss. Your dog passed when we picked you up and your cat just three hours ago." Elisa gasped and shook her head in denial.
After the police walked out, Elisa saw Tom walk in with a frown. Elisa continued to shake her head as Tom got closer. Elisa looked up with tears in her eyes. "Tom, she killed them both. They're both gone." Tom nods his head and sits in front of Elisa. Tom scoots closer and Elisa puts her head on Tom's shoulder. Tom puts his arms around her and holds her tight.
Tom rubs her back as Elisa continues to cry. "Hey, can I use this in a tv-show I'm writing?" Elisa couldn't help but snort and chuckle. "Shut up. Now is not the time to joke." Tom shrugs his shoulders. "I bet Nyx and Oakley would think it's funny." Elisa raises her eyebrows. "Sure."

Marvel actress, Elisa Willems, age 27, has been recently put in the hospital by her former best friend, Lotte Jansen!
Sources say that Jansen broke into Willems home and attempted to murder Willems in cold blood. Turns out that Willems fought back- resulting in a bullet lodged in Jansen's head!
After being picked up by an ambulance, Willems fell unconscious for 13 hours! Her injuries include a knife cut on her right hand and a bullet wound on her left forearm!
Of course, Ms. Willems isn't charged for any account of murder but it makes all of us wonder... why did Jansen, a former friend of Willems', wish to kill her?
