P O V: Batman
The Dark Knight growled deep in his throat, in a rather pissy mood for getting the call that a "homeless looking" man was passed out on a bench. He completely thought that the police could handle a homeless person just fine but nooo, call Batman for everything..
The Masked Bat huffed as he spotted a small silhouette on a bench up ahead, actually not too far from a community playground. This only aggravated his temper further as the man's face was shadowed by the rays of the moon.
The painted face was completely out of it, their pale body limp and not responsive.. Batman squinted his glowing blue eyes to get a closer look, slightly startled to realize it was The Joker! He almost immediately dropped him back onto the bench, his brain going off as this is a trap.. Joker would never leave himself so vulnerable out in the open without a plan to double his trouble.'' Mmh.. '' Joker groaned softly, so far the only noise OR response he's gotten from him at this point. Something felt horribly off about the air that vibrated between them, an invisible force causing Batman to decidedly get a closer look at the clown, although cautious.
At the closer inspection, The Dark Knight soon realized his rival was absolutely drowned in blood, most of it looking like his. He felt conflicted, Joker was his enemy.. he made his life so much harder. He wants him dead. Yet a part of his humanity wanted to help him.
The large figure towering over the rather tiny male gingerly picked them up, narrowing his eyes at the bruises and rips covering his body and clothes. Batman thought he just looked pathetic, so tiny and vulnerable, would probably do more good than bad if he died. He shook himself out of this dangerous state his mind drowned in as the two made contact, hearing soft mumbles escaping The Joker's mouth subconsciously.. Batman knew he should've listened to what he was saying, but he wanted to drown him out and dump the small male off somewhere. Not his problem, he shouldn't, nor have to, care about what lunatic was somehow able to jump the smartest criminal in Gotham.. probably just out of pure ass luck.Bruce Wayne almost envied the luck-covered bastard that beat the shit out of Joker in one night when Batman had been trying to catch this sonofabitch for years.
The Dark Knight scoffed as the lightweighted enemy lay as limp as possible in his arms, making Batman actually consider checking his pulse.. He shrugged slightly once there was one found beneath his pale skin, his fingers twitching from the pressure on his bloodstream. It was as if when he arrived at Wayne Manor, both their fates would be sealed.
