Six months later: Summer break
This is it, i thought to myself. I am finally back home. I have spent 6 months in a rehab. The first month was horrible, but gradually i grew to like it. I made two new friends, Lindsy and Olivia and a new crush, Avery. So i was actually suposed to get out like 3 or 2 earlier, but i decided to stay so i could hang with my new friends.
Veronica was also present at the same rehab, she apologised for her behavior and yes, i forgave her. We are not exactly friends, yet we are no enemies. We are okay. Veronica also got over her grudge against me, stopped using pot and her gun was seized. I am finally over Summer! I loved her, but not anymore and i am done with pot. The rehab really helped me and i couldn't be happier.
I was standing by my doorway. I am ready to face my parents and most importantly my sister.
I put a prompt but genuine smile on my face. I mustered up all my courage and bravely knocked on the door.
When the door opened, i came face to face with the too familiar dirty blonde. We looked at each other for a moment before Bri pulled me into a long embrace. We pulled back and then i heard mom's voice, "Honey, who is it?"
"I think you should see this for yourself mom" Bri said, smiling at me.
"Okay, i will be there. Just give me a minute" She hummed from the kitchen.
As i glanced at my sister, once more memories came flooding back and i dared asked my sister, "The surgery?"
She lifted her black t-shirt up just alittle to reveal a little scar to the side of her stomach. I gasped and asked, " Does it hurt"
"Nope" she shook her head. I couldn't help but look at my sister again. She had changed so much, since the incident. Her hair was in a messy ponytail, she was wearing a casual black shirt with white writing that said "Whatever" and a pair of denium shorts, and a pair of black ballet flats. Normally, her hair would be loose and she would wear summertime mini dresses and heels.
I now saw my sister quirk an half amused smile, "Why are you standing out there? Come inside, this is your house"
"Maya!" Mom squealed excitedly and rushed over and hugged me tightly. "Mom i can't breathe" i flinched in between the hug. She pulldd back, "Oh sorry honey, we just missed you ao much"
I chuckled, " I can see that"
"May, how have you been?" chimed the familiar masculine voice, the one person who had taken the time to nickname me.
"Mason" i shrieked, he embraced me slightly.
"I'm good. How are you?" I asked.
"Great" he grinned and snuck a glance at his girlfriend, who was now blushing. Awww, Mason and Bri are so cute.
"Hey i found out everything and i wanted to make sure you are okay" He sincerely spoke.
"Yup" i told him popping the p. I playfully punched his shoulder. "Ow" he replied and punched me back just alittle harder. "Ow! What the heck!" I blurted and punched him as hard as i could.
I saw him looking at me, one eyebrow raised, " Is that the best you got May?"
I steups and crossed my arms over my chest. Damn him and his stupid muscles, well he is the star of the basketball team.
Suddenly, questions swirled in my mind and i felt the urge to ask Bri.
"Bri, can i talk to you alone for a minute?" I asked and my eyes darted over to Mason. He shook his head understandingly and spoke, " I will be in the kitchen with Mrs. Hastings"
"Good luck with that" i couldn't help but shout back.
"So what's up?" Bri questioned me.
"Does everyone hate me?" I gulped afraid of what her answer will be.
"Maya, no one hates you. It was a mistake, hell we all made mistakes including me. We were all involved in this, you may have carried it out further but it wasn't really your fault. You weren't in your senses. Maya it's okay, we all forgive you" She explained.
I sighed in relief and embraced my sister eyes brimming with tears.
****
I held the bouquet of daisies and tulips and started making my way towards the grave, when i noticed that two people had already beat me to it. I stopped in my tracks and hid behind a tree. I watched as the girl with the brown almost black hair laid down a bouquet of red and white roses, while the blonde haired boy laced his fingers with hers.
"Hey, how have you been? It's been a while since i have visited. I have just been alittle busy, but i will always have time for my best friend. I just wanna confess something " She said and traces her finger over the engravings and continues her confession, "I hope you can forgive me. So these couple of months have been amazing, because i have him. I don't know how it happened, we've just been spending alot of time together and i guess we just developed feelings. Now, we're in love" She finished and glances over to the familiar dark haired guy with the blue eyes.
"We'll be back soon" she whispers and closes her eyes, a single tear streams down her cheek. Her boyfriend takes notice to this and lifts up her chin to meet his gaze and kisses her. I drop my flowers in utter shock and my mouth gaps in awe. I already knew who the girl was but i just saw the boy's face. They finally pull away and starts to walk out of the cemetery.
The girl turns back once more and glances at the grave, before disappearing around the corner.
So i have decided not to do a sequel and this is the end of the story. I hope you enjoyed this bonus chapter and thanks for voting and commenting, guys. I really appreciate it.
