I quite like being alone Just not having that pressure of constantly trying to be someone around people When it's just me I can be myself. I don't have to impress anyone, I can do whatever I want, and most of all I don't have to talk to anyone. I've never been good at talking, I don't stutter or anything but I just don't really have anything to say. Or maybe I just think people don't really want to here what I have to say. Either way I don't mind.
'You wanna come over this afternoon' I whisper to Maelyn during class 'Yes please my house is getting boring' she giggles back 'Ok go home and get some clothes then come over straight after.' 'Yup I will' she replies
3 hours later
'HAIVEN COME JUMP IN THIS PUDDLE' Maelyn screams 'Coming' I replied back smiling as I let the small drops trace my face. 'OMG I just remembered we have nice cream, come on' she giggled running back inside 'Ok fineee' I gave in and ran in after her.
We lay on that couch, with her head on my shoulder, for hours talking about the dumbest things 'Would you rather have little eyes on your toes or little toes on your eyes' she asked 'WHAT' I wheezed shaking with laughter 'HAHAHA IMAG AHAHA IMAGINE HAVING TINY TOES ON YOUR EYES' I couldn't breathe I was laughing to hard and my face was sore from smiling.
She was the only person who could make me happy, like truly happy. My emotions were raw and real around her.
But when she leaves those happy feelings disappear.
Flashforward 3 Months
I felt empty, there was something missing. I'm becoming numb, losing myself. Paralysed. No longer feeling things I know I should. But how could I when everything I lived for is gone. My other half.
Present Day
'Hurry and get dresses, we're going out' Maelyn yelled at me from the bathroom
It was Saturday night and Maelyn and I were invited to her cousins party. Her cousin was a couple years older than us and I had only met her once. I got off my bed and walked to my closet. 'Hmmm what to aear' I thought outloud
I really wasn't a party person but Maelyn seemed so excited and I didn't want to ruin that for her I pulled out my black jeans and a crop top. Cute but still covers up my body.

'Do you want me to curl you hair for you' I ask Maelyn 'Yes please bae' she smirks 'Your hair is so gorgeous' I tell her 'I know' she giggles and I smile
1 hour later
There were people everyone and the house smelt of alcohol. 'Maelyn' I yell No reply 'Shit' I curse
I head upstairs to the bathroom to sit down for a bit. It was getting cramped and I just needed space. 'What's a pretty girl doing up here' a husky voice slurs from behind me 'Nothing' I reply blatantly and walk into the bathroom. Before I could close the door the same guy shoves his way through. I exhale. I have a brother so I know how to defend myself but I just wasn't in the mood to cause a scene. I don't like people noticing me. 'Let me try again, what are u doing up here love' he smirks 'Nothing can you go away' I reply getting irritated. The smell of alcohol was overwhelming. I go to leave but he grabs my wrist and pulls me back. I turn around and knee him in the stomach 'I said can you go away' I hiss at him before leaving and slamming the door. As I approach the stairs something grabs me from behind and pins me against the wall. 'That wasn't very nice' he whispers and I struggle against his grip. He was strong. I don't like physical contact
Flashforward 3 months
The thought of never hugging you again haunts me. But love comes with a price right?
Present Day
'Luke get off her!' I here another deep voice yell 'Ugh whatever mate, she is wearing jeans anyway' Luke replies and lets go of me I roll my eyes and pull the finger at him before turning around. 'Uh thank you, but I had it under control' I smile 'Didn't look like it, but your welcome' he returns my smile his eyes slightly flickers down to the dents Lukes nails make in my skin. 'Ok well I got to go look for my friends, but thanks for helping me' I nod and walk down the stairs 'Anytime' he responds.

Present Day
I managed to find Maelyn after ages of looking. She was really drunk and I had to get her home. It was getting late. I gently lead her to my car and with much effort slumped her into the passenger seat and clicked her in. 'Surely just run inside and grab me one last drink' she slurs This girl 'No absolutely not, I just mopped my bathroom floor I don't want your vomit all over it' 'Fine' she grumpily mumbles I giggle and hop into the drivers seat and take her home.
'Why are you friends with me, I'm a mess' she whines 'Well because we are the same person just in different bodies, which makes it easy to be friends with you' I reply softly. 'yea but is that always a good thing' she questions looking into space. I hesitate 'Yea" I reply dryly. It was wasn't it, two people that are completely different could never work out.
Flash forward 3 moths
He showed me how to be happy again, how to love again. After all thats what he was good at.
Present day
'Night Maelyn' I whisper as I tuck her into bed
No reply I smile before getting into my pj's and laying beside her. Her head on my shoulder.
