taehyung is frustrated and pissed, he really is and it shows with the way the glass shatters against the wall after he swipes his desk with one hand. jungkook is aggravating him, he won't listen, he doesn't want to pay off his debt, he doesn't want to do anything. and it takes everything in him to not start threatening family members. he just wants his money, and if any other sensible person were to be in this situation they'd be scrambling their ass off to get out.

but jungkook wants to be different, and he's not sure about how much more he can take. but he doesn't have much time to think when he hears a screech coming from the room he had just left out of a half hour ago. he's rushing when he walks out of his office, the slightly heeled shoes he's wearing echoing with each step.

he's a bit out of breath when he gets to him, and he looks a mess. his hair a bit disheveled and his posture poor as he tries to steady himself. jungkook is in front of him, scratching at his skin and crying. his face is red and his skin isn't too far from being raw. taehyung's quick to restrain him, but it doesn't come without a challenge.

jungkook is strong, you can tell from his build so when he shot his hand out to claw at taehyung's arm it left deep indentations, some of them leaking with small beads of blood. he's also got some scratches on his forearms now, when he got his hands around jungkook's wrist to pin him down. his shirt is sticking to his body, and he's breathing even more heavily than before. jungkook is shaking, trying to wriggle out of taehyung's grasp but taehyung's smarter than that. the length of his fingers playing to his advantage as he squeezes the small delve between jungkook's wrist and his palm. he's sure it hurts when he sees jungkook still and then tense beneath him.

it was shocking, this whole situation that is. for the few days jungkook has been here, he's had few but scary withdrawal moments. this being one of them where there could've been substantial damage had taehyung not come. and when he sees jungkook finally go limp he lets go.

he wasn't gonna remember this when he's back in his right mind from what taehyung knows, he's never mentioned anything of it. taehyung walks away from the bed and into the bathroom, grabbing the first aid, opening it and taking out some vaseline and gauze to wrap jungkook's arm up with. he walks back with the supplies, pullin up the chair that sits in the corner of the room. he carefully picks up jungkook arm, it's red and the skin looks distressed.

with a gentle hand he applies the vaseline, and then carefully wraps his arm a bit tighter than normal because the pressure will help with the sensation of burning.

he sucks his teeth as he stands up, giving jungkook a quick glance over before reaching out to caress his cheek.

"maybe i should just let you go," taehyung whispers to himself, "i'm sure you wouldn't hate me half as much."

his hand stiffens when he sees jungkook's face scrunch up and his body squirm, but he stills once again and his facial expression goes back to normal.
"i don't understand how you ended up like this, even then, you weren't this bad- and i...i just want you to try, to get better. though if you don't, i'll keep you locked up in here for as long as it takes, regardless of if you hate me or not i can't watch you live like this, anyone else, but not you."

he takes a step back from his body, his outstretched hand following him. then he turns around, taking the rest of his unspoken words with him.
