Wow, 11 reads guys? That's so cool! So wasn't expecting that! I know chapter 2 was sorta corny...Especially the lame jokes, but still I try! Hope you enjoy chapter 3.
I've never seen a castle before. I've only seen them on t.v. But now I can say that I've seen a castle, a castle with a medival taste to it. I might be sent to the crazy house, but I can always say I've seen a castle. The castle was huge, with a dark atmosphere. It was really giving me the creeps and I was- believe it or not- greatful that Slender Man was there. I didn't want to be alone for a split second in that place.
The Slender Man still had me in his grip and all I could see was the back of his white head. He walked down a dark hall, and I gazed at the creepy statues and paintings on the wall. Suddenly, I realized we were being followed. It was something creepily TALL. Almost as tall as Slender Man. But it had four legs...and a triangular face. It was gaining on us, and it was FREAKING ME OUT.
"SLENDER MAN!" I screeched just when the creature was so close, I could smell its acrid breath.
Slender Man snapped me out of the way, and the creature was face to "face" with him.
"DOWN!" the Slender Man demanded angrily. "Bad boy! Down, Stiltwalker!"
"Yeah, b-bad boy!" I stammered.
Slender Man's head turned towards me. "His name is Stiltwalker," he said. "He guards the mansion from that idiot."
"What idiot?" I asked.
"Jeff," the Slender Man said.
"Never-"
"-heard of him," the Slender Man finished. He turned back to the monster. "Bad, Stiltwalker. Her name is Lynn. She lives here now."
Stiltwalker turned his triangle head, and I could make out two, pure black orbs glaring at me. Well, I say he's glaring, but really that's what his eyes look like. After a moment, Stiltwalker abruptly stood up and walked away. He slowly blended in with the darkness of the hallway, leaving me alone with Slender Man. He is very tall, and also very skinny, but he seems to have long fur. He sorta reminds me of my uncle's Afghan hound, Snookie.
"Is he the only worry here?" I blurt out. "He's freaking scary!"
"He doesn't eat humans," the Slender Man said, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "But I do."
"You're not scary," I said bluntly.
"I SHOULD be scaring you," the Slender Man said.
"Stickwalker's creepy-looking," I said. I looked him up and down, feeling a smile work its way across my face. "With that suit you're wearing, you look sorta handsome. Not to mention the fact you saved me."
Slender Man merely veered around, grumbling darkily. "And no, I have another guard crawling around here somewhere. He's a childhood acquantance of mine. He's very violent, more violent than Stiltwalker, but he's usually not within the mansion. And when he is, he's usually sleeping."
"Are you trying to say he's a childhood friend?" I asked curiously.
"No," the Slender Man said. He continued down the hall.
"Who is this 'acquantance' then?" I asked.
"He's called the Rake," the Slender Man answered.
"What a weird name," I retorted.
"Don't let him hear you say that," the Slender Man warned.
