SK Leaders - The Fallen Soldiers

Huta was at his usual spot by the window as the record player softly played music. Minho knocked before walking in and waiting for Huta's orders. Huta stayed silent for a few minutes before snapping back into reality. He turned to see Minho before speaking.

Huta: "So the kids actually pulled it off."

Minho nodded and Huta went over to his desk and let himself fall onto his chair. He rested his head in his hand and closed his eyes.

Huta: "Make sure Yonggukie goes hunting. There's nothing planned for today."

Minho: "Yes sir."

He nodded and left the office. He went out into the living area but didn't see anyone. He made his way into the back yard where he found Matthew by the pool.

Minho: "Matthew, have you seen Yongguk?"

Matthew turned to face him and smiled.

Matthew: "Did Hyung say to take him hunting?"

Minho: "Yes, please take care of that task."

Matthew jumped up and called out to Yongguk who emerged from the treeline behind Minho. Minho glanced at him and then headed back inside. Yongguk ran over excitedly as Matthew headed inside.

Matthew: "Wait for me in the car, I'm going to get changed."

Yongguk nodded and went straight to the garage and waited inside the car. Matthew came out a few minutes later and they drove off to find a target for Yongguk to hunt. Jessi watched as they left from her window then went out to find something to do. She wandered all over the mansion in hopes of running into someone but didn't see anyone besides Minho.

Jessi: ~None of these kids are any fun... How dull.~

She was walking back to her room when she stopped by the library. She decided to walk in and saw Leo and Taeil focused on their books. She walked up to them and crossed her arms. Since they didn't react to her presence, she reached over and waved her hands in front of their faces. Leo looked up at her annoyed but Taeil cleared his throat and smiled awkwardly at her.

Taeil: "Did you need something?"

Jessi: "How can you guys spend all your time hidden in here reading? Aren't you guys bored?"

Taeil laughed awkwardly as Leo put his book down, about to answer her. Taeil quickly spoke up first, he knew if Leo answered, they'd be in trouble.

Taeil: "No, this is much more comfortable and fun for us. I'm sorry we aren't more fun."

Jessi scoffed as she looked at each of them annoyed. She rolled her eyes and headed out the door.

Jessi: "Forget it, see y'all later."

She slammed the door behind her. Taeil looked over at Leo who picked up his book and ignored him.

Taeil: "You should really try restraining yourself."

Leo: "Did I say anything?"

Taeil: "You know what I mean."

Leo: "They won't get rid of us that easily. They need us."

Taeil: "Huta does, Jessi's temper doesn't have room for reason."

Leo let out a sigh and looked up at Taeil.

Leo: "Alright."

Taeil: "Do you want coffee?"

Leo nodded as he continued reading his book and Taeil got up and went into the kitchen. Taecyeon was already there drinking his coffee quietly. Taeil greeted him shyly and went about making the coffee for Leo and himself. Taecyeon returned the greeting but decided to leave instead of dealing with the awkwardness. Taecyeon was another strong silent type but he was just a tiny bit more flexible with certain members. He headed to his room which he fortunately didn't have to share with anyone else and sat by the window until he heard a knock on the door. He went over to answer it to find one of the mansion staff calling him out to lunch. He nodded and went into the dining room. He was usually the first one there but Jessi and Minho were there first.

Jessi: "Oh, Taecyeon. I feel like I haven't seen you in a long time and that's because I just saw you yesterday. Where were you hiding all day?"

Taecyeon stayed quiet and just focused on the plate in front of him. Soon Matthew and Yongguk arrived and Matthew began talking with Jessi which lifted the tension but the air for Taecyeon still felt heavy. Every minute that he had to spend in the mansion was torture for him. Huta finally showed up and sat down. Everyone settled down and Huta motioned for them to eat but he just zoned out. One by one, everyone finished eating and got up from the table except for Huta and Minho. Huta finally cleared his throat and leaned on the table.

Huta: "Minho..."

Huta didn't even have to finish his sentence for Minho to get up to help Huta back to his room. He helped him sit in his recliner and brought over his medication. Minho went over to turn on the record player and then left the room. As soon as he closed the door, Minho sent a message and went to his own room next door.
