Belle Roe
I ran hard and fast, nothing could stop this adrenaline that was built up inside me. I had a mission. I mission to find the man named Salamander. One of the greatest wizards my father told me about. I want something from him, I just hope that he could give it to me. The forest that I am currently running through is very, well, woodsy. I never was clumsy, but I managed to trip over a log. Though this log was softer than I expected a log to be. My face was currently in the soft dirt, and my body felt bruised due to the impact of the log.
Dang my weak body, I never understood why I was so susceptible to injury. My father has iron for skin, another thing I didn't inherit from him. The only thing that could confirm that I was his daughter was my long wavy jet-black hair and the headband that I am currently wearing. everything else I got from my mother, from her eyes down to her height. I was her carbon copy and I hated it.
I heard a faint groan, or what I thought was a groan. And it didn't come from me. I got up from the ground by pushing my body up off the log. Then the log made a noise, this time in a yelp of pain, then I realized that the log wasn't a log at all, but a pair of human legs. I looked up to see who the legs belong to. And there under a tree rested a tall boy with blonde hair and the softest brown eyes I have ever seen. He wore a fitted crop top that revealed his semi-toned body and capri pants with a belt with stars across them that held a pouch of some sort. Above the hem of his capri pants poked out a light blue marking of some sort.
His voice was soft and quiet when uttering "Are you all right?" he said to me. There was something special about this boy I could sense, with my heart and the actual raging mana that came from him. Then in the distance, I could hear the yell of a deep gruff voice that belong to no other than my father calling out to me.
"Belle Roe! Belle Roe! Belle Roe!" he angrily cried into the air. Upon hearing my name, it triggered my flight response and I began to run again. The boy called after me. "Hey wait! Come this way." He pointed in the opposite direction I was going. I turned directions and the boy began following me and started to ask me questions. Boy, do I hate questions.
"Who are you running from?" he asked, genuinely curious about why was I, this random girl running in this forest. I didn't answer his question, which seemed to have bothered him. Instinctively he grasped my wrist and pulled me in another direction and on the horizon I could see this hut cave-looking thing. The boy brought me inside it and sat me down. "There, now you can catch your breath and answer my question," he said with a harsh tone but kept the softness to his voice. His appearance, his voice, and his attitude didn't match and it low key threw me off guard. I have never met this type of person before. My whole life I've been surrounded by bold, brave people that my brain couldn't process that the boy before me could even exist.
"Let me ask you again. Who are you running from? Because if you need someone to eliminate them up, I'll do it," the boy said confidently, his words reminded me of an old friend of my parents that they have told me about. I forgot his name though, that's a shame. "My father," I responded sharply. "Why are you running from your father? I mean I don't get along with my Dad sometimes, but I wouldn't go to this extent." "I wanted to meet the great Salamander, the legendary fire dragon slayer, but he wouldn't let me. So I ran away, but he found me."
The strange boy in front of me reacted weirdly when I said Salamander as if he knew him or something. "You're looking for Salamander?" "Yes" "Well, you're in luck you're staring right at him," the boy smiled, seeming less shy than before. His smile seemed to shine with the sun. I sat in shock, I wasn't expecting this young weak-looking boy to be the Salamander. "You can just call me Luca. I prefer Luca over Salamander." The boy said quietly becoming shy again. "You're weird you know that? Anyways, I'm Belle Roe. Belle Roe Redfox." I witnessed Luca's jaw drop when I said my full name. Here we go again, he's probably going to ask about my brother and sister as everyone else does.
