[Hello World!]

11/08/21

The girl looks outside her window. There is a black car parked on the street. She squints, trying to make out a face. Looks like the top of a black hat peeking out behind the car. She closes the curtains.

11/11/21

The girl walks down the sidewalk. There's something walking towards her. When she walks closer, she can't see it anymore. She turns around and returns home.

11/11/21

The girl reaches her door. There's a package on her back doorstep. She turns it over, looking at all sides before she takes it in. There is no label. She picks it up and brings it inside, locking the door behind her.

11/12/21

The girl wakes up and looks at the package for a while. She picks up scissors and cuts the tape. She opens the box and picks up the object inside it. The girl puts it down and returns to bed.

11/12/21

The girl wakes again. She ignores the box and goes to the kitchen. She spreads butter on toast and eats it. Then she walks outside to the step again. There is a 3x3 inch piece of what she assumes is a white paper on the step. The girl picks it up and returns inside. She locks the door behind her, giving the knob a rattle. Then she looks out again, with what could only be called a wary expression.

This is so weird. I think someone's messing with me. It can't be anything else. Right? That package. . no. Why would anyone put that white square on my doorstep? It looks like paper, but it's so smooth. I don't know why I hid it. It was almost like an instinct. What's wrong with me?

If someone was screwing with me, why would they use my backdoor? Everything goes to the front door. This is stupid. Why am I scared?

Oh gosh, I'm so paranoid. Every entry gets worse. Maybe I'm just overthinking. This blanket is suffocating me. It's gotten dark out, I'd guess around 8 maybe? I want to throw the blanket off. I'm going to die of heat. I can't. I guess I'll just keep sweating.

Just keep sweating, just keep sweating. ..

11/13/21

I think it must be the next day already, so hence the new date. Like midnight? I looked out of the covers. There's nothing there. This is so stupid...

I'm under the covers again.

Idiot.

11/13/21

The girl moves under the covers again. She is not asleep. After squirming around for a while, she throws off the navy blue covers. She rushes to the room's light switch. The room is illuminated. The girl's hands tremble.

The object is working.

Possible side effects.

The girl shakes her head, possibly in ridicule of anxious thoughts. She tentatively turns the doorknob. She is met with the dark hallway. She looks into the kitchen avoiding the living room which is dark in the night. She runs into the kitchen. She trips on nothing. She is very nervous. She falls.

The girl scrambles to her feet and picks up her water cup. She pours water and drinks it. The water spills down her shirt, dripping to the floor. The girl is curled up on the floor. Her back is pressed against the corner between the dishwasher and cabinet. The cup is held in white-knuckled hands. She stays huddled on the floor all night. Too many thoughts.
