CHAPTER ONE: the ties that bind

DYLAN SALVATORE GRUMBLED AND CURSED UNDER HIS BREATHE. Why were his brothers such idiots? Why was he related to such irrational children?
"Why the fuck are you-" Dylan paused, seeing that no one was even in the house. "Oh, for fucks sake." He muttered.
Dylan threw his bag onto the ground, walked over to the cart that held all the alcohol, and took a glass before pouring the liquor into the cup.
The eldest Salvatore bent down again, skimming through all the liquor and grabbing two bottles.

The two younger Salvatore brothers halt when arriving at their house when noticing the open liquor cabinet and the duffle bag on the floor. Damon and Stefan stayed quiet, gesturing to the two things before Damon carefully grabbed a stake.
"I do hope that you wouldn't dare to put the stake through my heart." Dylan sarcastically comments, placing a hand over his heart. His younger brother's face broke out into a grin, then Damon covered it up by rolling his eyes. "Because that would truly break my heart. Not just physically, but emotionally too."
Once again, Damon rolled his eyes while Stefan sped over to his eldest brother and pulled him onto a hug. "Why don't you tell us you were coming to town?"
"Because then Damon would use the time of me packing and indeed arriving to hide everything he's ever done."
Damon didn't reply, instead approaching his older brother and pulling him into a hug.
"Now, wait a moment, the Mikaelson family, the original vampires, seen in this town?" Dylan asked, shocked. "I swear, you are always getting yourselves into trouble."
"Yeah, well, either way, you are coming with me, can't have you bumping into someone who thinks it's a good idea to try and kill you." Damon says.
