I threw my skittles wrapper into a nearby bin and sighed, 'Guys how much longer?'.
Abigail rolled her eyes, 'Don't look at me, I'm only here for the free ice cr-'.
'Will you two shut up and help me pick between the rose gold or burgundy?' Gina groaned holding up the two nail polishes.
'If I buy them both for you will you give us the free ice-cream?' Abigail asked.
Gina smirked and nodded, 'Deal'.
We finally walked out of the shop after Gina had bought her little paint bottles of joy and Abigail snatched her arm and my wrist and began pulling us to Dairy Heaven.
We all grinned and walked into the only shop that met all our standards. Hearing the faint bell we walked up to the counter behind two boys in the queue.
'Av?' I met Larry's eyes in surprise.
'Hi'.
Okay maybe I was giving short answers too.
'How's the...new house?' He asked.
Wait we're having a fresh start. Oh. Oops.
I gulped and felt the awkward eyes of his best friend Danny, Abigail and Gina on us...they all knew the truth and to be honest it was just hard for me to talk about the situation infront of people, I am an awkward person after all.
Back at home? Well lets just say I feel like I finally belong somewhere. I'm never out of place which is something new and I really know what a family is now, how we have that weird yet precious bond and how you can sense the way we're so...together. Now that I actually have a real brother I wish I didn't because Jacob is honestly the most nosey guy ever. I guess that's just how some brothers are meant to be and it must be hard for him to get used to me too.
Zone back in Avril!
'Um...yeah it's going good. Weird but good.' I replied not knowing how to carry on the conversation.
He nodded and then began talking to Danny as I met the girl's smirks, 'What?'.
'How does it feel being so close to the hot badboy that you're not actually related to?' Gina asked teasingly.
'Literally the tension between you two is emitting waves through the whole shop' Abigail smirked as Danny and Larry took their orders and walked outside.
I rolled my eyes as we took a step forward.
'I'd like a chocolate and vanilla twist' Abigail said, simple and to the point.
'Oreo blitz with chocolate sauce' Gina said next.
I grinned, 'And I'll have a rainbow delight with sprinkles please'.
We walked to our booth after giving the money in advance. Most people just took their orders and left but we preferred gossiping together and enjoying the desserts, it was in our girl code.
When our orders arrived both Abigail and Gina began devouring them...graciously?
As usual I just stared at mine in awe. It was red, green, yellow, orange and purple with a shower of coloured sprinkles ontop...oh and the waitor had gotten used to adding a purple skittle in the centre. As you can probably guess...it was a skittles ice-cream.
'Once you're done perving at the ice-cream can you join the conversation?' Abigail asked poking my cheek.
'Sure...what were you talking about?' I asked, rubbing my cheek.
