The Start

The date is 3035. This is the day the government put trackers in everyone. If you want to go outside everyone walks in a straight line without talking to your destination. There is too much fighting and vandalism in this world to give freedom. The buildings are trashed and broken. Almost Everything is grey. No color. No happiness. The only color is the vandalism on the buildings.Guards stand everywhere. Everyone wears a uniform which is a grey pantsuit. If you have long hair it had to be perfectly placed in a bun. No one leaves and everyone is being watched.

There is one mother who hid her baby for protection. She had the baby 2 days before today. Her name is Paige. She believes no human being should be treated this way especially her own daughter. Her daughter's name is Alexis. She has short dirty blonde hair. Perfectly tanned skin and gorgeous brown eyes. Alexis is brave and smart. She thinks before she acts and is very careful.

"Alexis."
"Yes."
" Honey, I have bad news."
"What is it." Alexis asks nervously
"You know how I went away for a couple hours yesterday."
"Uh huh."
"Well...... I went and rebelled against the trackers."
"But how did you get past the guards?"
"Fought. Well um are you ready to hear the bad news."
"Uh huh."
"You have to run away."
"What? You're joking."
"No sweetie I'm not."
"But but why?"
"There hanging me tomorrow."
"No! I won't let them!" Alexis said standing up tall and brave. "I'm not running!"
"Yes you are. I can't let them hang you also."Just remember all the things I taught you. But Don't ever forget I love you." When she said that her heart ripped and shatter into a million pieces. Was she really making her daughter leave her? It's for her own safety she thought to herself.
Alexis was speechless. Just curled up in the Corning crying. Her heart wasn't shattered though it was gone. Filled with sadness. She cried and sobbed for what it felt like forever until Paige broke the silence. "I love you and I will always want to be with you but this is to dangerous for you."
"No! I'm not leaving."She replied sobbing.
"Yes you are." Paige said sternly. She can't have her daughter die and have it be her own fault.
"I'll miss you mom." Alexis said finally giving in.
"I'll miss you more."
"I don't think so."
"I know so." She said smiling
"Wait. Before you leave. I know you won't like this but just in case here is knife.
"Will I need this?" She asks nervously."
"Better safe than sorry." The mother said with a sad expression

And with that Alexis ran off into the woods. Tears running down her face but pushing through. As she runs through dead trees and uneven soil she thinks about the knife. Will she need it? She looked at the knife in her hand and tried to think she won't need it. Her mom trained her to duck under cameras and watch out for guards. She is like a well oiled machine swiftly running and ducking. Every movement she hears she ducks behind a tree but Before she knows it she is held gunpoint. She stops dead in her tracks. She freezes in fear. Will she make it? Who is it?and as millions of questions run through her mind the person speaks.
