A Second Chance

The sky was red, buildings were crumbled. There were barely any places that weren't covered in flame and smoke. In a building that was still intact, a group of people stood, among them was Shinra. They were discussing Shinra's crazy idea, travel back in time to before it all started and prevent it. Shinra told them about how Viktor explained that Shinra was able to travel a short time back after reaching the speed of light. This time he knew he would be able to travel a lot farther.

The reason why was because he accepted a contract with a deity from a different dimension than the Adolla. The Deity was none other than the Sun God.

Flashback

Shinra was sleeping on the cold hard floor of a building that was still intact. This night he would have a dream that would change him.

"Shinra Kusakabe." A voice shouted from the dark void, then from the source of the voice, a white light came out. Shinra towards and saw an infernal but it was different. Instead of the regular colored fire, the flames were black, the infernal had wings made of the same fire on its back and stretched 5 feet each. The infernal was 6 feet and had horns above its pitch-black eyes that seemed to be staring into Shinra's soul.

"Shinra do you understand me?" It asked though its mouth didn't move. Instead, it seemed to speak to him telepathically.

After a bit, Shinra finally spoke, "Who are you?" 

"Tch, not even one of my pillars recognizes me. But it is to be expected." The infernal seemed to speak to itself, "I am Sol, the Sun God. I know I look nothing like in the pictures but those are lies. The Church's teachings were lies, the god they speak of is my brother, Perses. He craves nothing but destruction."

"Why are you here talking to me?"

"Because I want you to change things. I can give you the power."

"But why me?" Shinra asks.

"Because you are the only one who still wishes to save people. So will you accept or not?" Sol said as he extended his hand. Shinra thought it over for a moment before he took Sol's hand. As soon as he did, Shinra felt a surge of power as the black flames engulfed him. The fire wrapped around his body, on his back wings formed of the same length as Sol's. Two horns of flame then grew on Shinra's head. After it was over, Shinra looked himself over.

Sol then spoke again, "This will give you the power to change things. I hope that you use it for helping people."

"Why did you have to make me look like the devil?" Shinra asked, annoyance laced in his voice. He then looked to where Sol was and noticed that he was no longer there. When Shinra woke, he was still wrapped in the fire.

Flashback End

After a while, they decided that it was worth the shot. So Shinra left the building and was quickly engulfed in black flames from the power given to him by Sol, which he named Inferno.

Just as quickly as he was engulfed in flames, he broke into a sprint, slowly he was gaining speed, becoming a blur. Soon, he was going at the speed of light and disappeared.

He right before though he made a promise to save as many as he can, to stop the White Clad, find his brother even earlier than he did.

"I will not waste this second chance."

Short chapter. This is more like explaining where Shinra got the power and how everything else happened. I don't know when things will deviate from the actual line.
