Percy's pov
I woke up to a bloodcurdling scream I looked to my left where my beautiful wife should be but she was not there! I sprinted down the stairs followed by the kids and our guests to find a terrorised Annabeth standing in the kitchen. I scanned the room and saw a frying pan on the floor and rainbow pancakes all over the work top I then followed annabeth's gaze to see a huge spider that just fitted onto the wall! we were all too astounded to make a move so the spider decided to crawl towards my inactive lover, hazel charged at the disturbing creature with an imperial gold vase and she hit it right in the heart with a cracked sharp edge.
