The water flow seemed to be speeding the more I was looking at it. Probably due to dizziness... or maybe tiredness. I looked in front of me for a minute. Because of the lighting of the numerous skyscrapers of Brisbane, we could almost forget it was night.
My precious earphone in my ears, I was silently whistling. The music was soft, calming and satisfying. It was matching with my heartbeat. I was feeling light, despite the fog that seemed to invade my mind bit by bit. I wasn't sure about the time, the date nor my localization. Everything seemed to have stopped.
A new song started, more frenetic and my heartbeat started to speed up with it. I wanted to run and never stop, scream 'go to hell' or 'be happy till the end' to all of them, dance to death, laugh like a madman, and then... nothing. The music had stopped and my phone as well, the battery was empty. But this distraction didn't last long, a headache invading my mind. I was in pain and cold.
A gust of wind whipped me in the face, and I finally got back to reality, to the situation I was in. I had the chills and sighed loudly. It was strangely cold even though it was June, I vaguely remember the thermometer announcing eight degrees Celsius when I left home. I glanced quickly around me, I was alone, as usual. The cold wind skimmed a second time my face, I closed my eyes, inhaled deeply and opened them again. The view in front of me was undoubtedly gorgeous, it probably was the only positive aspect ring now. I smiled one last time, peaceful, and fell.
