A/N: So, a few things before we start. As I said, this story is unfinished and a plot that I started writing in August. Overall, I lost interest in it as I focused more on writing Reckless and Stay With Me's sequel. After finding in my files and rereading what I had so far, I decided to share it and see if anyone else would like it. If people do enjoy it, I may end up reworking the plot and continuing it after completing Reckless. This is a semi-au, so there are different elements from the show. In this one, Charlotte lives with her dad instead of her mom. There are other different tidbits like that. I'll be posting three chapters all today and if you guys like it, I have three more that were written (but I may rewrite them so I can't say for sure when they'll be published). So, here it goes and I hope you all tell me what you think!

Charlotte Page was...unsettled, to say the least. It had only been a week since Henry, er, Kid Danger and Captain Man defeated Drex and Kid died in a fiery blimp crash. She could still see the images and videos of the flames on her phone and in the news, she could hear the way she sobbed hysterically in Jasper's arms as she watched what she thought was the death of her best friend. Her world was crashing around her and she wanted to die so badly because how could she live her life without Henry Hart in it? She sobbed as she, Jasper, Ray, Piper, and Schwoz all ran up to the mountain to see if maybe, just maybe Henry was okay. The fire was so large and smoke was getting everywhere so Ray demanded the kids stay back as he went to see if his sidekick was really gone. She could still see the tears in his eyes and the way his voice trembled as he spoke. She could still feel Jasper's chest as she sobbed into it and his own tears dripping onto her head. Piper's shocked face was also burned into her memory, the young girl's face trying to remain stoic but her tears rolling down her cheeks and her hands trembling. It was terrifying. Then, all of a sudden...
Piper screamed something but Charlotte was too busy weeping to decipher what she screamed, but the way she ran off caught her attention. Then Jasper ran off and she was left standing there, dazed and confused. She slowly turned and felt her heart leap out of her chest. It was Ray and...no, it couldn't be...there was no way...
"Henry!" His name left her throat in a pained scream that she didn't intend to use. His mask was torn in half, his hair was a little disheveled, but it was him and he was in one piece. He looked up at her as he hugged Piper and Jasper, giving her that big smile of his and tears in his brown eyes that she thought she'd never see again.
"Char..." he croaked out and she took off. She sped towards him and threw her body against his, her arms around him and her head on his chest as she heaved out more hysterical sobs. She felt his arms around her and he squeezed her tightly as she broke down in his embrace. He's okay, he's still here.
Now, she was leaving Kid Danger's funeral and she was still unsettled. How on earth was everyone so casual about everything that happened? Was she really the only one who couldn't move on? Now she was just expected to go off to Dystopia and start a whole new life again with no problem.
"Char?" Henry's voice pulled her out of her thoughts and she looked up at him slightly dazed. He seemed a little concerned about her so she just smiled, pushing away her concern and the memories that refused to leave her.
"Hey," she said with a soft exhale, "Everything settled with Ray?" Henry nodded his head and grinned as he held up a white envelope.
"So, he kind of surprised me with something," he started and she took a step back.
"Is it alive?" she asked, a little worried and he laughed with a shake of his head.
"He told me he owns a beach house in Florida. How would you feel about a road trip to Florida before we leave for the crime dump that's Dystopia?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. Charlotte blinked in surprise at that offer. She was a planner, she never did things without thinking them through and planning them weeks, if not months, in advance. She'd been planning on going to Dystopia for a while now and didn't know about postponing that so suddenly.
