P R O L O G U E

They call me Queen Kath, you're gonna have to make way when you see me coming, if you don't want yourself reprimanded. 

Im their queen, no one gets in my way.  Im everybody's boss, I order -- you follow, don't question everything I do, or else.

"Kath, ahm.. your dad called.." sabi namn ni Jeana, habang ini-aabot sa aking ang cellphone.

 Oh and here's Jeana.. the one who knows me, truly 

I raised one eyebrow. "eh, anong sabi?" 

"Hindi ko alam, he wants to speak with you.."

"malamang, that's why he called diba?" pilosopa kong sagot.

Kinuha ko sa kanya ang phone, at umalis para makipag usap kay dad.

"Yes?" sabi ko.

"Can I meet you right now?" 

"Why?"

"because, I want to."  short pause "and there are important matters we need to discuss" and released a huge sigh.

" hindi ba pwedeng, dito mo nalang sabihin dad? we are talking na naman.." sabi ko habang nakawingi.

" No, it needed to be discussed personally, and I've told you, I wanted to see you too, I missed you"

I don't know what to say. 

"Okay." I ended the call.

"Anong sabi Kath?" Jeana then found her moment to ask.

"I need to go. Dad wanted to see me." I gave her a smile and then she gets it.

"Okay, see you later" we went on our separate ways.

I halt at the entrance of this big Company, It has been years.

I let out a big sigh. 

"Welcome Ms. Bernardo" the doorman opened the door for me.

I nodded and entered. 

When I reached the Conference room , I was stoned. I heard the familiar voice, I wanted to cry. I have been wanting to hear that voice.

but I kept my composure and went inside, "Hi Dad."  and gave him a smile and hugged him, darn it I missed him too.

I turned to his side , and he was there standing, looking straight through my soul.

I do not know what to do. My heart is pounding, hard. 

"Mr. Daniel" I was planning to give him a handshake, but it failed. He looked away.

My heart broke.
