"His highness requests your presence downstairs my lady."

"What for?" The sheep demon at your door cleared his throat and replied.

"He said he'd like for you to welcome his guest."

You nodded your head and said, "I'll be right down then."

As soon as the door had closed you rushed to your closet to get dressed into something more suitable. After all, "being a royal means living up to standards" as your dear dad would say. You wondered who could be visiting this time. And though you'd never admit it, a small part of you was giddy, hoping that it was the radio demon. You enjoyed the witty banter that usually ensued whenever in his presence it was fun and he had a way of making your heart flutter in a way that it never has. But you felt that it didn't matter how he made you feel because no matter how hard you tried you knew you would never be able to make him feel the same. There was a reason they called him the heartless radio demon . . .

After styling your hair you made your way to the drawing-room and knocked gently on the large wooden doors.

"Come in!" You opened the door quietly and slid into the room as the two figures in the room averted their gaze to you.

"Ah! Y/n good to see you finally join us." Lucifer said smugly shooting you a playful glare. You rolled your eyes and smiled at him.

"Good evening father" your breath caught in your throat when you looked at his company, there he sat in all his glory, the very man you wanted to see, yet never see again. The annoying piece of gum that you just couldn't get off your shoe. Alastor.

"What a pleasure to see you as well Mr. Alastor." You extended your hand in a formal shake as he said, "Please, just Alastor." You let out a charming yet practiced chuckle.

"As you wish Alastor." You took a seat on an armchair that was placed in between the two and listened to them talk about business, only interjecting in the conversation whenever you saw fit. As they talked you gave subtle glances towards Alastor, smiling whenever he looked into your direction, to which of course he smiled back.

As he talked to Lucifer a small part of his brain was drifting off thinking of the small chats the two of you have had before this meeting. Although they were usually short he'd managed to learn something new about you every time. He enjoyed speaking with you and took great pride in being able to bring a smile to your face each time. He didn't quite understand why he yearned to see you smile but after a long session of searching his brain, he figured that he had a sort of admiration for you. It was strange but his curiosity peaked and he wanted to delve deeper into this with you. He just didn't know where to start.

The doors to the drawing-room opened to reveal the small sheep demon who delivered a letter to the King stating that it was an "urgent matter" Lucifer opened the envelope and read the paper before standing up and addressing Alastor.

"I hope you don't mind waiting I have to take care of an emergency."

Alastor stood with him and said "I don't mind at all especially with Y/n here to keep me company. Don't worry about me!" Lucifer nodded and snapped his fingers vanishing from sight.

You suddenly felt the room to be a lot tenser than before, there was an unspoken sense of nervousness between you and Alastor. He cleared his throat and began rambling.

"It's been quite a while hasn't it darling! The last I remember seeing you was about a year ago! Quite unfortunate isn't it?" His static was loud but his facial expression was calm, you smiled up at him and responded.

"Sure has Al." He looked at you and gave you a confused look.

"What's wrong dear? You usually have so much to say?" Part of you thought he sounded truly worried but who were you kidding.

"Nothing." His smile lessened.

Alastor leaned his chin on his hands and fluttered his eyelashes at you bashfully as he said, "Why to deprive me of hearing your lovely voice darling?"

He tilted his head to the side as he shamelessly flirted with you. You couldn't help but blush a little. Annoyed with yourself, and him you tilted your head to the side blocking your blush from his view, and replied.

"Oh please, I bet you say that to all the girls"

"Trust me, dear, there are no other girls." He said as he stood from his chair and walked towards a shelf filled with old records.

"As if I'd believe that pretty boy." He stopped browsing and teleported right in front of you. He lifted your chin softly so you could look him in the eyes and asked, "You think I'm pretty?"

He smiled at you cheekily as he watched your face go red you crossed your arms defensively and said, "Yeah, pretty ugly."

He gasped dramatically and held a hand to his heart as if he had been stabbed.

"How could you!"

You laughed at his antics and noticed that the smile on his face seemed more genuine than before.

He teleported back to the shelf and selected a record from the shelf. He then slid it out of the sleeve and carefully placed it onto the record player. Effortlessly placing the needle onto the record. Walking over to you as the song started he held out his hand and asked, "Care to dance darling?"

Wordlessly you took his hand and he lifted you from your seat. You placed your other hand on his shoulder as he placed his on your waist. You danced slowly together enjoying the silence of the moment.

"You know, I kinda like you and you're stupid jokes." You said softly with a grin on your face. He smiled at you and said, "Whatever it takes to keep the smile on your face."

You looked at him and realized just how close you two were. Your heart pounded in your chest and you felt as if you had a fever. Looking at him you realized that there was a slight tinge of pink on his face. You also noticed that his eyes were dilated.

There was no way. . .

His eyes drifted to your lips and your face heated up. Then without warning, you took a chance and leaned up into his lips. After getting over the initial shock he began to kiss back, slow but without hesitation. Although he wasn't the best kisser, the way he made you feel was like no other. It made your heart soar and your mind calm. It felt as if nothing else in that moment mattered, the only thing you were focused on was him and the way his lips molded into yours. It was just perfect.

Well, that is until it wasn't. You were so lost in the moment that you hadn't even realized that you and Alastor weren't alone anymore. You only noticed when you heard someone clear their throat loudly and as soon as you did you parted from Alastor immediately. To your embarrassment, it was of course your father who had walked in. He smirked at you and said.

"Would you two like a moment alone?"
