My heart began to race. This boy was so good looking it was unreal. Tanned skin, pink plumped lips, jet black hair and you could see his muscles through his pale light blue t-shirt and the most beautiful eyes ever. Emerald green eyes that could easily see inside your soul... This boy looked so different from others, I mean, don't get me wrong, the guys in my year are hot! But this one was different. He looks familiar too. Who is he? Have I seen him before?...
His scent overpowered my nose almost causing my to faint. He smelt like the forest mixed with cinnamon and vanilla, oh God, I need to stop gawping, he's making me drool. No other guy smelt like this, they all smelt like lynx or some sort of aftershave that was nice but this scent was driving me crazy. I take a deep breath, cross my legs and try to contain myself by covering my expression with a blank one.
"Would you like to introduce yourself young man?" Mrs Marshall asked the boy politely. I guess she was trying to make him feel comfortable.
"Umm sure," he stood in the middle looking straight at everyone with a small smile, "Hi my name is Damien Saunders, I've just turned 17 and I'm originally from England but lost my accent when I moved to New York when I was 8."
Wow this Damien boys had a voice that is so hypnotising, so dreamy and so--
"Well Damien, lucky for you there's one spare seat left." Uh oh. "And that's next to Miss Avery", I gasp quietly and I slide down on my seat so Damien couldn't see me.
"Christina? Please raise your hand so Damien can see you."
"Oh crap" I whispered. Great now he's gonna see me. I slowly raise my hand and I lift my head to look at Damien but to already find him looking at me. My heart starts to beat fast when he's looking straight in my eyes as if he's looking through my soul. I get a tingling sensation in the process.
I drop my hand when he walks towards the empty seat beside me but he still holds eye contact with me, I try to look the other way but my eyes refuse to look away. My eyes are glued to his. My eyes felt captivated. I feel like I'm under his spell. His eyes illuminate. What the hell?!
When he sat down I used that to my advantage to break eye contact. When I looked away I see the whole class looking at me and Damien, the girls are glaring at me, I guess for being close to Damien as I'm sure they'll label him as a 'Greek God' soon enough. He sure did look like one with his sharp strong features. And now the guys glaring at Damien. I guess they're jealous at his looks and how much attention he's is getting from the girls. Ha! The male ego... I'll never understand.
But I guess Damien doesn't realise this because he's still looking at me. I can sense him looking at me and.it's making my skin tingle, it was irritating but I liked it too. Oh gosh my head is messed up, I try to ignore the feel of his eyes on my face and I sink lower into my seat, first lesson hasn't even started and I already want to go home! Oh boy... This is going to be a long day...
Finally the bell rang for our first lesson, English. I smirked knowing that no one here is in my class so I stood up and walked straight out of the room like a lightning bolt. I was seconds away from around the corner. I was seconds away from freedom until someone grabbed my arm causing me to stop. I felt electricity running through my body. This has never happened before. What the Hell?
I turn around and gasp when I see it's Damien. I step back and change my expression to a blank one. I see a shocked expression but he quickly covers it up so fast, hmmm he must of felt the electricity too or I must be imagining things.
"Ummm Christina? Could you show me where my first class is?" for goodness sakes! Why me?! I take a deep breath and I look at his extremely handsome face and I smile.
"Sure... What lesson do you have?"
He showed me and I swore my heart stopped. I swear if this carries on I'm gonna have a heart attack! He has the exact same lessons I have: English, Math, history, French, Physics and free time. I'm in the highest set you can go and now the new boy is smart?!
"Oh crap" I whispered
"Yeah... I'm a geek" Damien nervously laughs rubbing the back of his neck, aww that's cute, wait! Cut it out Christina! Keep it together.
I look at him again and laugh too.
"Yeah, I'm a geek too but I don't belong in the geek crew, I like my own company. Follow me, you're in all of my classes" I started to walk ahead.
"Wow really? Thanks" He beamed.
We started walking to class in total silence but in comfortable silence while Damien was looking at the pictures on the way in the hallway and me looking as cool as a cucumber but really panicking inside since I realised that in every class there's always a empty seat next to me...
That means... I gulped, partner work! Nooo this cannot happen! I've always worked alone, how on Earth can I cope with this boy next to me with his intoxicating scent and and his beautiful eyes and that shot of electricity that's still tingling around my body. It felt amazing. It felt like I was on top of the world. Ugh I need to get away from this boy.
We finally got into class but the whole class froze and turned to glare at us... I start to cringe. And look the other way. I guess everyone knows about the new boy and the invisible girl. I feel sick. Even that teacher is glaring at me... "Oh boy..."
