He lunged at her with his face full of a look of anger and betrayal, his lips twisted into a harsh snarl as he screamed and wrapped his hands around her neck and squeezed, he squeezed until her squirming and kicking stopped, until there was no more heartbeat in her body and her hands stopped spasming at his arms looking for skin to claw at. He regretted nothing, he had done this so many times to countless people and it was almost fun to him now. He ran out of the apartment with a giddy smile as he heard sirens in the distance due to the late little note he'd slipped in the next door neighbors drunk husbands door. Even though he had enjoyed the act and wanted to stay to revel in it, He didnt want to go back to the place he had been sent too last time when he had been caught leaning over a young man who had killed their child, they had stormed in and arrested him and slammed him to the ground and cuffed him. He slowly calmed his pace and stilled the grin as he walked, thinking calming thoughts to himself to numb down his enthusiasm for his acts.

He hummed along to a simple melody as he kept going, not seeing the small shadow that watched him with huge eyes and sharp teeth as he walked away like a normal person.

The "small shadow" climbed out of its depths, shaking it's limbs out like a dog that had just came out of a bath or a pool and retched at all the dust it had collected on itself, it hated dirt severely and loved being clean above all else, but it focused to look, It looked around at its settings and recollected it's thoughts. It was like colors didn't exist in this world it was thinking as it roved its head back and forth over the settings in front of it, everything around was grey in different shades and whites and blacks,no colors whatsoever besides the "people" themselves but the two he had just seen. It sighed in disgust of the dismal world and lumbered it's way after a scent, The scent of the person he'd just seen joyfully kill a woman on the ground who was far gone by now, all sounds of her heartbeat stilled and her lips already tinting blue with eyes that had the glazed look of death. It followed the scents of villain and grass and insanity that mingled together so sickeningly and so ungodly a mix.

It did not know why it followed the scent as it had watched the man kill, it had watched this man enjoy the killing too, and it didn't even know who he was or why it itself was even here, but it knew this scent held importance to Them. Them.
Someone, more then one who it could not remember. But it knew it needed to follow as it picked up a lumbering pace after and hoped no one would see it. It did not think people would like to see something that should not exist and yet did roaming their drab streets even if it was a brightening to the gray.
