"Nancy for the 100th time, you are not going to join in the rebel" said ray

"Why notttt, I want to join in to, it's my future as well ya know" Nancy replied

Ray gave her a disappointing look as she huffed in response.
"Nancy dear why don't you go take a walk down town" mandy suggested.

"Alright then" Nancy sighed as she hopped off the table top.

She loved going for walks, she loved how the sun heated up her face, but not uncomfortably. She loved how peaceful it was, she loved how- suddenly her train of thought was forced to a stop as an aggressive force hit her shoulder, causing the young girl to drop her purse. "Hey you should watch where you're going" a man Shouted. She'd been so lost in her own thoughts that she'd not watched where she'd been going, and had bumped into a man,
The wrong man by the looks of it.

"I-I'm so sorry sir I-I wasn't looking where I was going" the Girl apologised profusely, as fear flooded her thoughts

"A young girl like you shouldn't have the nerve to ram into people like that. But then again it's to be expected from people like you"
"I didn't ram into you though" Nancy started
The man grabbed her by the wrist aggressively, and pointed at the police station behind them.
"Young lady if I ever hear of you causing trouble agai-."

"Excuse me sir is there a problem here" someone shouted.
Both the man and the young girl turned to see a young man, in some sort of uniform, smoothing it over as he spoke.
"Well it's none of your concern"
The man retorted
"Well it is, considering you are holding my fiancée by the wrist, so I'll ask again, is there a problem here sir?"

The man looked at the boy  then the Nancy and then back at the boy.
"I'm sorry d- do I know you?" The man asked.
"No, but I'll introduce myself. My names five hargreeves"

"Like the number?" The man scoffed.
"Uh, yea you got a problem with that" said five aggressively

The man raised his eyebrows and scoffed again as five grabbed Nancy by the wrist and walked away from the situation.

Nancy when to say something before five cut her off
"Yea I know, I know you said not to say anything but I don't like it when someone's rude to my fiancé" five whisper-shouted
"Five, my aunt works for him, if my family find out I've been dating a white- no offence- man, they are going to be so mad"

"You're going to have to tell them sometime though" five said bluntly

"I know!" Nancy replied frustratedly.
———————————————————
Nancy and five had been together for two years.

They first met a few years ago, when Nancy was taking the Same route to go deliver some clothes that her aunt had needed to stitch.

She was just enjoying the nice day when the sound of gunshots had penetrated through her state of calm.
Three blonde men walked with guns in their grips, aiming at... who?
Just as she turned to look she was grabbed by a young man, who seemed to be around her age.

"What the-."
"Sshshshsh" the boy interrupted
He slowly peeked over the top of the car, in which was their protection, whilst clutching a briefcase close to his chest.
Nancy looked at the battered briefcase and then back at the boy. "Is it drugs?" Nancy asked the boy. He whipped his head back around to face her "what?!!"
"Does that briefcase contain drugs or something" she asked the him.

"No, now shush otherwise they'll figure out- oh shit!" He dodged a bullet and then grabbed the girls hand.
She looked around for safety just as he grabbed her hand again. And one minute they where on the street and the next they where engulfed by a blue light and then they where lying on the roof of a building.

She went to get up as he pushed her back down. "Owww" she pouted.
After a while she heard a man with an accent she could not decipher say "I don't think he's here".

"Ok we should be safe now" the boy said as he got up, the girl slowly following. He looked at the girl as she blinked. "Are you ok" he asked softly.
"No. I- i what in the lords name just happened" the girl started and then the words started pouring out. "I was just walking down the street, and then, and then these men started shooting and then you, you where the one they where after with your Smokey briefcase, and then you did something impossible, you, are you and alien or something." Nancy finally finished, fishing for air

The boy blinked, trying to comprehend what the girl had just said but before he had a chance to answer she started again, "who even are you-."
"Maybe I could explain if you gave me a chance to speak" the boy said

"Sorry" the girl replied
"That's ok, you don't have to apologise" he said. He extended his hand out to the girl
"I'm five hargreeves"
"I'm Nancy" she said as she shook his hand.
Now that they weren't being attacked, they could actually look at each other properly.
Five, was a tall boy, with green eyes and what seemed to be some school uniform, not one Nancy had recognised from around the area though.

Nancy was not tall nor short, with caramel smooth skin, and beautiful pink lips, and the darkest eyes, yet they shone with the light of a thousand stars.

Once five managed to tear his eyes from hers, he started to explain.
"All you need to know is that I am not alien I assure you"

All night she thought about that boy, five. He'd been different, a breath of fresh air. He was so handsome, with his
Alien like beauty.
But the one thing that ate away at her the most was the way he treated her.
He treated her like anyone else. Not like she was a black girl, in fact, any other person with his race would've left her there, but he'd pulled her away from the danger, out of the way of the bullets. Why?

————————————————————

She didn't see five for months after the first encounter, until one day, she saw him again, they just passed on the street.
"Oh look it's you again" he waved
Nancy looked around, thinking he was talking to someone else.

"Oh I'm talking to you love"
Love? Five thought to himself . What the heck. I do not call people love

"Oh hello" she replied shyly "how are you" she asked

"Oh I'm doing ok, just still tryna figure out how to get back home"
"Home? Do you have somewhere to stay at?"  The girl asked, concern growing on her face

"Oh yea, I'm staying with a guy called Elliot, lives there." He said to her.
What he really meant was that he'd found him with a telescope poking out of his window, so he broke into the poor mans house, scared him to death, and now the man was trying to help him find his siblings, but so far he'd found nothing.

Five had thought sharing this piece of information with the girl would not have any effect, other than taking away her worry of him not having a place to stay. He had not thought that that would conclude to her popping the next day with some cookies, and her offering to help.

Of course he humoured her, but he did not want this precious girl getting involved with his world.

And that was how their story began...
And a few years later, they where secretly in love, and engaged.
