As Shiva walked alone in the hustling streets of Somnath, slumbered beneath a strangeness, a void ness but an unknown contentment forbearing him, he was unsure of what can and what would he do to get back the locket, not to forget that he was still anxious enough to know the reason in first place, did she accidentally got it, but then if it was accident she would've returned it, but she didn't...he knew her evil mischievous little mind was upto something, but what..till now she has roamed declaring each and every moment of her life around him, though he was annoyed back then to listen her rant but her not sharing was more painful to him then the pain of loosing his locket, the last nishani of his baba.

He thought of what he could possibly do, sneak into her room, quietly steal the locket and leave, because somehow that's what she exactly did, and never mentioned it.But right now, she would refrain and be reluctant to accept anything, so he planned to go there at midnight. He had a simple plan, take the locket & leave, while she would be fast asleep.

On the other hand, she was scared of what if he had seen the locket, he would have cut her in thousand pieces and ate her alive, he was literally so close to pull the chain to see what exactly she was wearing, she sighed in relief, and drank a full glass of water. She went to the washroom and splashed her face with cold water, she shivered for a second, gathering all the thoughts and scenarios of the whole day in her head. She recollected all the words and talks, and tried to connect palmist words and understand them, they were more like riddles, simple yet confusing. The references she made did not exactly match to what Ved but it matched to Shiva...and when his name popped in to her head, she was already perplexed and shocked with this extra- nice behavior of this Bhootnath which she did not appreciate, as in of course she liked it but that behavior wasn't normal, it was strange, she had never seen him like this, something was different. She quickly diverted her mind to what would she be doing and spending time with Ved, she blushed as she reminisced his smile, she swirled around in happiness and laid down in bed, she had a long day, as she closed her eyes, she saw Shiva's face when he was staring at her as she danced and all that small smiles he passed, her heart fluttered on this, she smiled to this memory lane and dozed off to sleep after clutching the locket with her loose grip and little white fingers.

When everyone retired to their rooms and called it a night, Shiva sneaked out of the Pandya Niwas from the window which he used when he would be late, he went to mami's residence, climbing up the pipe to the verandah balcony which was attached to Raavi's room, he jumped off the railing and saw closed curtains swaying due to flowing wind, he entered without adjusting them, and found her sleeping like a little baby, squeezed up in a shell...she looked so tranquilled,so serene,so peaceful...she has been always a chirpy sparrow but right now she was calm, adorable and seemed like a little baby...he looked at her, she was holding something curled up into fist, he went near her and sat on bed, as he leaned he was able to feel her warm breathe, she inhaled and exhaled and inhaled, letting out a soft tiny sigh, she squeezed herself, maybe she was feeling cold, so Shiva reached for the blanket and covered her, she adjusted comfortably, still asleep.Shiva kept staring at her just as a child keeps looking at a little new-born baby,in amazement, in awe.As he covered her with the blanket, she held his index finger,as if it was the whole support she could've been asked for amidst of chaos, indeed they were calmness to each other's chaos.

A smile crept on his face as he saw her holding his index finger, he saw her fist, and was curious to know what was she holding like it was the most essential thing which she wanted to protect, even in her sleep. He tried to open her fist with his index finger of left hand, she did not let her fist open, he tried again but she didn't..what was so important and what could it have been he thought to himself...as his eyes went to the corner of her fist where he found the chain hanging across her neck...it was the locket, it was his locket, which she was holding,it was his locket which she refrained to be kept away even in her sleep. He was overwhelmed when he saw this,he wanted to hug her, he never felt such way,it was definitely a strange but indeed a beautiful feeling.

The clock struck one, when he realized that he needed to go, he softly pulled his finger. And before he could stand up his attention fell on a strand of her hair which had been disturbing her, he tucked it behind her ear, smiled a little. He went back down and started going to his house, when he was about to enter from the window, he realized that he didn't complete the task for which he went there, to take his locket, he wasn't able to take his locket, why? He had no idea.Though it felt like it was with him, it wasn't...what was this feeling? He did not know.
