It was a bright sunny day, and a girl at Shergill house was bouncing all over the place, thinking that her dream had finally come true. You may or may not have guessed her, but she is none other than Monami Shergill. Yes, Shergill, because she is the wife of our Kadoos Shergill, aka Karan Shergill. Let's get back to the story now.

her mother-in-law, who is more like her second mother, approached her and questioned, "kya hua monu beta aaj itni khus kyun hai?"

Monami leapt on her and cuddled her like a baby bear, expressing her delight- "I am very pleased mama!! Finally,mera dream pura Hone wala hai mein Parakram SAF mein training le sakti hoon!!" She said with utter happiness

Her mother, Major Mitali Shergill, now retired, kissed her on the forehead and said, "I am really glad for you bacha," before tightening the grip.

Mitali says: "Monami  I'd want to point out that a desire does not magically become a reality; it needs sweat, commitment, and hard effort. Colin Powell said it, and now I'm telling it to you.... This is something you should never forget, okay bacha. "

"I'm sure I'll remember it forever!" says Monami.

"chalo bohot hui bate ye batao apne papa se pucha is bare mein ki nahi?" She enquired.
 
"Ohho mama, aapko kya lagta hai papa mujhe mana karenge....esa kabhi nahi hone wala because he is always with me!" Monami said. Don't get me wrong, the father she's referring to is her father-in-law, who serves as her support system.

"Umm... mommy mujhe apse puchna tha," Monami says "Sadu Karan kahan hai?" I mean.

Mitali giggled and added, "bachpan se dekha hai tum dono ko pata hai hame tum use Sadu bulati ho hamare samne natak karne ki jarurat nahi hai and they burst out laughing tum apne question ka answer lelo tumhara Sadu Colonel Batra ke sath hai kisi mission mein"

Because of tumhara sadu, she grew uneasy and flew away from them to her father's chamber to inform him of the wonderful news, leaving Mitali giggling. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

A brother-sister combo arrived in Devloli from headquarters, and it's evident who I'm talking about: Pranali and Karan.

"Vese bhai, mujhe nahin Laga tha ki aap civilians ko train karne ke liye ready ho jayenge," Pranali says.

"Pari, I have my own ways of training them," Karan replied, a grin on his face.

With a concerned expression, Pranali stared at that smirk and exclaimed, "wohh bhai, that smirk tells its own distinct narrative, don't tell me you have your plans."

"You know me very well Pari," Karan joked, "now let's see if ye namune kese survive karte hai!" He began to chuckle, and she soon joined him, and the two of them proceeded to the academy. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Monami's father-in-law was in the room when she broke the news to him, and the two of them exchanged a fatherly hug.

Later, he made her stand in front of the mirror, smiling, while she stared at him with a puzzled expression.

- he stated "Look in the mirror – there's your opponent. Always keep in mind that you're the only one who can beat you. To be successful, you must first defeat yourself; you must make yourself your competition, and only then will you be successful!"

"Thank you father hamesha yad rakhungi," Monami remarked with a grin, thanking God for providing her with such a loving family.
